Brz vs a4
My buddy thinks that his Audi A4 turbo is a nicer, faster, sportier car then the brz. I told him he's on crack but still believes that. Opinions?

I have a BRZ and my wife has an A4 Avant. Both are nice cars, but it's pretty much Apple vs. Orange.
If you really have to make a thread about this, you are on crack too. |

The A4 is all about driving you from A-B. The FRS/BRZ is all about you driving.

My girlfriend and I used to have two frs...unfortunately hers was totaled recently by some dumb ass that rear ended us while we were at a stoplight.
To have more room for our 70lb collie she bought an s4 instead of another frs. From the limited information I have from us only having it for a couple weeks I can tell you this.... It is very fast, my frs with full bolt on and e85 will not even get close to keeping up with it. It is very nice, fancy I should say really. The brakes are amazing, almost too good. The suspension needs stiffening but not bad. The steering feel is odd due to electric stiffening as you increase in speed. It's all those great things, but she tells me daily that she misses her frs and that the s4 is boring, even though it's scary fast lol. the audi is a 2010 s4 Quattro. I personally love it, but it is no frs. |

Well in fairness they are also about driving from point A to B but in a much different and enjoyable manner.

This is like comparing a 6 cylinder mini van to an 8 cylinder SUV.

The A4 is fine car. The clutch replacement will cost something like 5k+. The DSG will feel like crap after 50k miles of easy driving. You will look like someone who should have bought a BMW.

lol i might have to test it out with my brother one day. it just so happens to be that I have a BRZ(manual) and he has an a4(cvt), so its actually going to be fairly interesting. of course I doubt that that is actually going to happen.
