Also has anyone mounted one in the bumper where the stock air box snorkel would normally be? Like a Perrin size cooler?

Ive been running an implementation of my own using the gr sti oil cooler plate on a rotorex sced car.

I see roughly the generally recognized 10 degree drop, but more importantly much faster recovery times. Especially with the heat on full (side vents out window center closed). In new england (not sweat your balls off hot ambient) im seeing peaks of mid 260 range, typically in the mid 250 range and very quick drops into the 230s and below when letting up. Last week (thompson) by the time the cooldown lap was done my oil temps were into the 220 range pulling into the pit.

The oe plates are absolutely not perfect, but they do have a clear positive effect
and introduce less risk of hose issues or punctured cores.

Why the heat on full? Can't we simply put the fan to the max ?

I wanted to report my temp and pressure.
today extremely hot day in miami, around 90F
my car is stock with a mishimoto oil cooler
during the fastest lap, as fast I as i can be ...
oil temp max 255F, oil pressure between 45 to 55

I am running Motul 300V 0W20 and the HKS filter (pink one)
oil and filter brand new.

FYI:
starting temp in pit after 5 min warmup idle: 168
temp after sitting 2 minutes on grid: 190
5 minutes in: 224
10 minutes in max temp: 255
after one lap cool down: 233
by the time I pit in: 224
