Rear Seats?

The big question for me is if this car will be practical enough to DD.

1: Will the rear seats fit 2 fullzise humans comfortably?
2: Do the rear seats fold down?
3: Will there be a liftback option?

thoughts?

i really hope it's a liftback and the rear seats fold down. i drive an s2k and my co-worker drives a tC and the only time i get jealous of his car is when he opens the hatch and puts down the rear seat to fit equipment that i can't fit in mine.

Judging by the size of the concept and ther layout, I'd say that's a big "no" to question no. 1. As for 2 and 3.... well... we don't know any of that yet.

if the seating is anything like the AE86, I can answer #1:
No. They'll fit, but they won't be comfortable.

By comfortable, I mean if i can fit anyone there who has legs.
My TT has about an inch of legroom in the back.

1) probably not, but if they can fit for short trips around town (20-30 minutes) then that would be good enough for me.
2) not sure where they would fold down, if anything, i'm thinking there will be a center pass-through
3) i hope not. i think that would just add weight and decrease stiffness, even if only slightly

Doesn't matter much to me. I'm not buying this car for anyone but myself. I have Rex if I need to carry people and stuff.

+1. I'll probably only have one other person in the car at any given time so the back seats would be useless for me.

Yea, i don't have a 4door car, and when I get an 86, I'm not going to want to part with my TT either.
The TT can fit a crapload of stuff in the hatch when the seats are down, but the backseats are too small for anyone to fit because of the legroom.
I've had 4 people in it before a few times and it was interesting.

For me, the FT needs to be a realistic 4seater for short trips.
No kids yet but by the time they roll out i'm hoping to have some sort of 4door too.
Plus kids take like 8 years to grow out of a 2+2.
