Great majority of people who like such weirdness just become sane when it comes to paying for it. I don't believe you would buy it either.

I could and would buy that.
Or at least a more reasonable non slammed roadworthy version of that.

You do not know me or the level of my weirdness. I'm not like the majority of people. Suffice it to say that price has never stopped me from buying what I want. Here are two examples.

If this were a factory build it wouldn’t look quite like this, (ride height etc.) and I would think its price would be between that of a STi Sport and a STi Sport Tech. If it was limited production and came with lots of goodies it would be closer to the Type RA price.

This is actual a nice example of what the Holden should look like in my eyes. Better shape to it.

Ya if the Holden was a Subaru which it isn't. Well wasn't.

I was thinking about buying a 4WD Chevy Colorado or Toyota Tacoma as a second vehicle. I tried to imagine this car something like both my FRS and the truck I want to buy. I realized it is neither. I am missing the point but it is okay. I am happy if this will make you happy.

Well first off, it would be a truck and a WRX, not an FRS.

Ya they really are not a truck even though they have a bed and most certainly are not an FRS or any other "sports car". They are in a world all of their own and something I have like since I was a small child.

There were very small trucks once upon a time that actually were useful but still had sports car type performance (sort of).
I had a 70 Datsun pickup which was probably smaller than an FRS and was a total blast to drive.

Thanks for the pictures. I know what you mean now. They are in a class of their own. By the way, that Datsun is very cute. I want something like that.

Since we're now well OT with ute talk, I really hope the new Jimmy succeeds. Perhaps it will herald the dawning of a new era of weird and not-huge cars in America. (Yeah, right)
