The console kneepads are great, the door ones I was disappointed with, no real cushioning on them. but JPM ftw nonetheless

Just getting rid of the headunit and leaving an empty hole along with $1000 in your pocket would be a major improvement over the 2013's crappy excuse of a unit.

The knee pads are used during performance driving eg., autox/track days for support.

You don't understand - they're down in the foot well, so it moves the CG. Maybe they got tired of saying that they had a 18.1" CG and just wanted to add some pounds down low to get it to 18". Actually, the trunk badges are more than 18" off the ground, so I'm betting the combination of lightening the badges and making the knee pads heavier is moving the CG down.

Maybe we should consolidate everything into one mega post that way we don't clutter anything up. |

New badges don't mean anything because most people debadge the lettering on their car anyway. Knee pads are a cool new addition because that means that you can probably order them via a parts department now.
I am interested to see what the new Aha radio system brings as this was one of the big things they were talking about back before the BRZ was even released. |

I'll pay it if I have to, but if the USDM '14 kneepads are any good, I bet it'd be a whole lot cheaper to order a USDM part than it is to get the imported JDM ones or custom-made ones. I don't think an operation like JPM can even come close to matching the price point that Subaru will hit, producing ~10k+ of these for the USDM. Not to knock them, the quality seems great, I just don't think that they are comparable in price to OEM parts. Of course, I could be completely wrong, and the USDM knee pads could be priced at $300, but I'm definitely holding off on buying anything until I see what the new parts are like.

Here (in Chile) we can only choose between MT and AT, the trim level is like the USDM limited BRZ + a lot of extras, including the JDM kneepads.
But we have a VERY BASIC head unit radio (now I have the Pioneer AVH-X8500BHS) Take a look to this picture 3 days after I got the car: |
