Factory Clear Paint Protection - What is it exactly?

Factory Clear Paint Protection $199

This is listed as an accessory on my car that's due to arrive at the dealer tomorrow. My question is, what exactly is this? Does it compare to Opti-Coat? Should I still get Clear-bra and Opti-Coat?

Has anyone who had this factory accessory had Clear-Bra or Opti-Coat installed? I'm thinking this isn't much of anything but want to be sure.

So no need for another Clear-Bra but Opti-Coat would still be needed for the rest of the body.

There are 2 standard options. The hood/fender set and then front bumper alone. Judging by the price you are getting the hood/fender set and these cover very little.

Opti-Coat is a great way to go and can be used right over top of a clear bra. It will not help with rock chips and etc. like a clear bra but it is an amazing product.

Wrong, it's door edge protection, door handle under guads, lower quarterpanel protection and rear bumper protection. It is installed at the port in Jacksonville FL.

Correct, the hood and fender option cost $400 while the bumper is another $600.

So sounds like it's not putting protection on the most important part, hood and front bumper. I heard dealership paint protection isn't he best quality either.

I appreciate all the feedback. Sounds like I still need to protect the front and hood.

Im in the same boat. I had the factory protection put on. It indeed only protects certain parts. Now its time to add the opti-coat.
