Crossmember pics from stock, cut down stock, and new built one in it's current state of build. I bolted it in the car to test fit it. I found one area on the lower control arm that I will need to bend the lip on the bottom side where it contacts the new crossmember. I will be starting the rearward facing out riggers, and engine mount fabrication next week, as well as adjusting the lip on the lower control arm. The steering rack is on the agenda as well. Probably the following week.

Nice work there, what size tube did you use? Wall thickness? I was surprised it came out heavier.

1.75 inches / 44.45mm diameter 0.100 / 2.54mm wall thickness. I actually thought it was .095 / 2.42mm but it wasn't. I still want to add a gussetted area at all four 90° corners to prevent flex from a side load while turning. I may use this one to pin down the design, and make a new jig with it to build a final version. There are a few changes I could make to lighten it with the same overall design. I'm going to use this one to get it running though.

Mocked up the oem steering rack for the final time to see if there is any way I could use the stock rack. It's definitely not going to work, so I used the rack ziptied in place to get measurements for a custom unit. I'm going to try to order the custom unit Monday, if they can build what I need. If the pinion were over closer to the center of the rack housing on the left side it would clear the cats and the exhaust manifolds.

Confirmed built to order rack could be made to my specs. After I get mine, and make sure it's a good fit I will probably order a few extras for California people needing a steering rack that won't hit the cats on a LS, or LT swap.

I received my order from @geraldjust it's a piece to keep my electric power steering functioning. I won't get a chance to try it out until later. If anyone is interested in such a device or something else can bus related hit him up. I will test it, and review it after my steering rack arrives and I install it.

I'm removing the entire can bus system. This device gets the electric power steering to work without the inputs it would have needed from other oem devices that I removed. Gerald could give you more information he built it. @geraldjust feel free to chime in.

Looking for things to work on while waiting for my steering rack. I decided to install the Vorshlag transmission mount. I pushed the engine back pretty far, but the Vorshlag transmission mount was still usable. I'm going to have to get a offset shifter to push the shifter forward. I'm running a Magnum XL as I was going to run the Vorshlag kit, but plans changed. I went LT4 and decided to push it back further. A regular Magnum would be a better fit for my engine position
