I have ran stock, Q300 and CSG Touring86 catback systems. I would go with the CSG Touring86. The tone is better than stock for sure, and I preferred it over the Q300. So, if you want a more stock like sound level the CSG is hard to beat. Price is good too, simple install.

One reason to ditch the stock catback, especially if you are changing out headers and increasing airflow, is that the baffles in the OEM muffler can start to rattle when weakened (or bust loose) causing a bunch of extra racket from the back of your car. I was running an ACE 350 header, FP, along with flex fuel kit (no FI, at the time) and my stock muffler started to have the baffles rattling inside. So it can happen.

Plus if you ever decide to go FI, the CSG Touring is all ready to go. Its a great, simple, no frills exhaust. You want bolt on quiet, this is the one in my opinion.

I just installed a ceramic coated Gruppe S UEL on my 17 86 and STG2 OFT tune with all else stock and at idle and regular driving I really don't think it is louder just sounds a bit different, when you get above 5K it seems to have a slightly louder rumble but nothing offensive. Highway cruising is same sound level as before IMO.

I had to go through multiple parts as my exhaust was way too loud. Borla header, tomei overpipe, motiv front pipe and speedfactory v1 unresonated exhaust. I swapped out the motiv for a jdl ultra quiet pipe, and it was still too loud. Swapped muffler for q300 and now its too quiet, but hoping once it "burns in" it will sound perfect. Fingers crossed
