I would cross shop the N with the CTR also, and the Golf R (which I’ve spent a lot of time in). I know almost without a doubt the N wouldn’t win that comparison for me.

50 years ago Honda was actually making some really nice little cars.

I'd certainly test drive the VN but as much as I didn't really care for the CTR I'd be surprised if I'd take a VN over it.

All those 300ish HP cars are just too fast.. that's why I have a fleet of slow 86s.

And a slightly more than 300HP Camaro but whatever.

not even sure it would be wars. if the gti ever put out the performance of its competition it would just be over.

It's a VW hot economy car, speed costs money.

I test drove a 2021 DCT N today. My next car will either be the N or 202x BRZ (upgrading from my 2014 limited)

The sales man insisted on going along for the ride, I wouldn't have abused it anyways, and I think he wanted me to floor it more than I did.

I was a bit underwhelmed...and that may have something to do with not flooring it, seeing its full capability and only being on the road for 15 minutes.

I didn't find the power to be a night and day difference and i find the driving ergonomics to be far better in the BRZ.

The tech in the N is far better, but that wouldn't be the biggest selling point for me.

I didn't hate the drive, but i wasn't in love....choosing between the 2022 BRZ and a 2022 N will be challenging, but right now i am leaning more towards another BRZ. Though....I don't love the exterior changes, I still prefer 2017+ aesthetics.

The wife lived the N though...mostly due to more interior space, less road feel and it's not as loud as my BRZ (JDL header and perrin CB)

I don't think the new N is a good value now. They forced a bunch of stuff that no one cares about. Imo the seats are okay and DCT is a good option... But at 35k it's just to much.

Well the performance package is now standard, but they added I believe another 3k on top of that.

I agree that it is expensive, but it would be relative to what Subaru and Toyota price the next gen at.

The 6sp is still 32k. I really like this car. When I am ready to move on from current car if I stay with 1 car strategy it will be on the list.

Just make your current BRZ better and save a ton of cash. Neither car is worth the money.

Since buying my BRZ in 2014, I have since bought a house. Car mods are no longer on my list.
