I have a lot of work to do on the car. I should swap back to the original header, put on a newer, non-header tune, replace the front if not all the brake discs, swap on the 2017 suspension I bought, get an alignment, and... oh yeah, get the car registered. X)

Probably pretty close. The 2 Door '74 or '75 Olds 98 that I took my driving test with way back in the day was just a tad bit over 19 feet long and it was about the same size.

I swear I work with the DUMBEST people on Earth.

Project manager: do we have any of these rare and very specific part in the warehouse? Foreman needs them for a job he went to this morning that's about 2hrs away from you.

Me: Nope.

PM: There used to be some in this one spot I failed to mention in the last email.

Me:*goes and checks* nope. perhaps he should have asked about them when he was here in the warehouse picking up the truck to go to the job. I'll check with our 2 vendors that sell this stuff. Hopefully they have enough of this rare part on the shelf and we don't have to order them from the factory in Pennsylvania because he's not going to be able to finish this job today or even this week for that matter.

I swear these people are on the spectrum. they wait until they are at the job to realize, "oh shit. I need stuff to do this.". it's not like this is some sort of every new job is unique. it's pretty straight forward and everything that is needed should be identified in the take off. best case scenario we have to drop everything we are doing. Go and pick up these up at a vendor and drive the 2hrs+ each way to this job for parts that are worth a couple bucks a piece. worst case we have to order them and pay a penalty to the customer for not being finished on time and lose all our profit on the job. Hopefully it doesn't make us lose money and we have to do all this work and running around like idiots for nothing.

This is the type of shit I have to put up with. Instead of just taking a pic and texting some info under it I get this.

A pic of a picture on a phone sitting on a note pad with details written on it.

edit x2. got it.

Pretty close. The 75 Buick (the olds would be about the same) and the 73 Imperial apparently beat it by a couple of inches. Both came in a two door.

It isn't restricted to where you work now. I work for the second largest parts manufacturer in North America (4th largest in the world) and this shit happens everyday. Some of it comes right from the top. As long as humans are involved things will be screwed up.

OK so pot becomes legal everywhere in Canada at midnight tonight and today the media is losing their shit! All of a sudden there are all these studies released about how dangerous it is to drive, police departments are saying they will still suspend anybody that shows up to work showing positive, the list of where and when it can be consumed changes by the minute, workplaces are scrambling to set policies and all in all it is just a cluster fuck.
Come on people we had two years warning that is was going to happen why does it seem like a surprise now?
Just how stoned were Trudeau and the committee members that drew up this law?

@p1l0t just edged me out by a fraction of an inch, story of my life!

That article was a trip down memory lane. I've driven a majority of those cars, and my very first car was a Polara (although an earlier version that looked more like a 2-door Custom 800).

Of course, at the time we didn't really think they were big, they were pretty much "normal".

The Mark V is one of my favorite cars from that era in terms of style. Wasn't exactly a driver's car, but none of these were I suppose.

Picked up a set of Racing hart J5's last night. 19x9 +26 19x10 +19 (5x120 & 5x114.3)

The fronts are pretty curbed up, but no cracks or bends. So, I'm going to attempt to have them repaired. They were cheap enough, IMO, to warrant the attempt. Plus, I love wheels.

Pic of the rears. I have two 5x120 vehicles...

I'm wondering what impact this news will have on Tcoat's productivity rate on this forum.... Interludes of tumbleweed where once we had wise comments/views/banter...
