RallySpotyDirect and the throttle response is great. Have to be careful no on acceleration not to break the bake tires loose, but what fun to drive now. And it has all of the EcuTeck RaceRom features.

I know the Innovate is quite audible in Cabin, not too bad but audible. Just curious on the CW kit and how audible is it to the driver?

Granted turbo > SC but I still like PD superchargers.
Maybe aren't looking at the right setups

Centrifugal yeah, PD whilst being load dependent is boosting everywhere. Too different to call turbo being an improvement of it.

Agree, even the incredibly well engineered factory turbo systems will never have the throttle response of a supercharger. Undoubtedly a WELL DESIGNED street turbo system is more efficient than any pd supercharger system, and has a better power curve and any centrifugal supercharger system. But to me, throttle response is just as important as overall power curve for enjoyment of driving. It's one reason why our cars are so much fun in 'underpowered' stock form. One last point to make about aftermarket systems- turbo systems are more complicated and more prone to catastrophic failure if something isn't engineered correctly. You need overboost fail safes and the like - so a well done turbo system with safety measures will be more expensive than a supercharger. Anyways just making the point that every fi type exists and succeeds on the market because there are benefits to each type.

For sure, I don't know enough about external/internal compression PD blowers to speak about them.. from a systems efficiency standpoint, scavenging the exhaust gasses to drive the turbine is an improvement over every supercharger type, from good ol roots to centri.. the nature of the beast.

Turbo definitely has more to the setup ($$$ ), from boost control to piping.. but there's where the dynamic advantages come into play for the turbo, which can effectively be tuned to have the 'best of both worlds' so to speak.. N/A power while below positive boost, and when you give the engine some g/revs you have power on tap. A good, fast spooling snail (like a 3071 w/ .63a/r) can spool into full boost with surprising speed... and carry it to redline.

I would like to see some hard pact data on catastrophic failures of supercharged and turbocharged engines of the same efficiency.. would be interesting to compare

Then again, I swore never to ride in my friend's redneck FR whipple 5.0 stang again (crazy fast with a crazy driver)... what a beast. Supercharged or turbocharged, man I'm all for it.

JerryIII did you do a base WHP on the same dyno before any mods?

Looking at the stage 1.2 ~185WHP, it looks like base would be around ~165WHP

1.2 was my base but 165 would be a good estimation
