I have to drive about 3 blocks in any direction for 93. Still actually prefer the non ethanol 91 though. Keeps the crickets away in al but the hottest weather (my concept of hot not yours. Not sure how you guys live there I thought I was gonna die last week).

I didn't know non ethanol gas keeps the crickets quiet. D:

Looking at the Pure-Gas site, there are a couple stations here in Seattle. However, they are brands I've never heard of and highest octane is 90...

Even the "pure" gas is not a guaranty and seems to work for some and not others. I am fine with just about any gas in cool weather but ethanol in hot is cricket rave time. I just live with it.

I go with Chevron. I trust them the most. I use 91 (Supreme) no issues. I'd use 93/94 but not available here in CA...least where I live.

Google to see where your 'name brand' companies may be. HWY 5 has a few Chevrons. Avoid mom n pop shops for premium gas.

lol no worries on that. I use the same Chevron station, same pump (unless I'm too lazy to wait), 92 here in WA.

Does anyone anywhere have 93 around Seattle/Lynnwood? I live close to one of the pure-gas locations and I was going to try it earlier. Apparently there was a refinery fire that kept them from getting the premium for most of the summer. I'll probably try running it straight to see how it does and then with Octane booster (Torco) if the IAM is low.

Have never seen 93 anywhere in the area... There may be some little gas station somewhere that I have not encountered yet.

It always amazes me how much different gas stations reputations can be in different parts of the country. Chevron was so bad in the northeast when they were here they were literally driven out.

I've only used 93 Chevron for every fill up along with 4ozs of Valvoline TC-W3 2 cycle oil and no crickets since and they were definitely there when I first got it with 3k miles on it.

I have a 2015 manual. I spoke to head mechanic instructor from Toyota headquarters, here in Toronto and he told me I can put in regular. The crickets are a lot louder and I have no power but it works.

I can't understand this, the car calls for 91 octane or higher, it cost 10c/L more and gets upwards of 40MPG. Quit whining about spending the extra $2 on a fill-up, you knew about this when you bought your car.

^^^this exactly. I realize this isn't a pricey, high end car but why would you not put the RECOMMENDED fuel in the car. If 2 bucks at the gas pump is making or breaking you, you should have bought an 05 corolla.
