@FR-Sizzle Sorry to chime in on this, but could you please give me more information on which part you are referencing? I would like to follow-up on this matter personally. We do all of our own R&D in house and take pride in our work. We are also direct with GReddy and have a great relationship with the guys over there, and fully support their product line.

SBD blew up my car!!!!!

Oh, wait, no they didn't. Been running about 12k miles, lots of road trips, runs down the strip and cruises through some winding roads. Still get 31mpg over the road, make about 280whp and no issues with fitment or quality. Everything is just as the day I installed it. Except the fitment issues with my Invidia overpipe, the upgrades all went smoothly.

For those who care, still loving my cars upgrades and the fact I haven't had any issues speaks volumes. If you're considering this turbo kit, you won't be disappointed. Well, that is if you're anything like me.

But they robbed greddy, stole all their kits, and ate their babies

People need to get over it.

New EVIDENCE:!!!!

Yet another kit that is similar to Greddy's.....must mean they stole the design, and not that they use similar suppliers. Here's the link to these crooks!

I have already made a report with interpol

I assume any F/I parts on eBay are counterfeit or knock-offs.

Well I guess to be pedantic I should add that I assume any F/I parts from random Chinese/Asia-located non-name brand distributors are knock offs.

But +1 for your snark. Add it to your stack, I'm sure it's a very tall one.

Hexon came on here at one point, their kit is similar and uses pretty much the same intercooler but the rest is quite a bit different. Canadian company. People can keep buying SBD crap if they want to.

@lexusb3 's FA20Club car was the same story. The facts are that you are local to SBD and was one of the first to get the kit. Your opinion whether fairly or not will always have to be taken with a grain of salt.

I don't think SBD blew up anyone's car or gave horrible service to anyone yet though.

I agree - I think it's unfair to put SBD in the same bucket as FA20Club. If anything the fact that it may be copying the design of the Greddy system is encouraging if we're talking about fitment etc. Also I think Shiv (Vishnu) is working with them to produce an "OpenFlash" branded version of SBD's kit - he's had plenty of history in the tuning world and has a very reputable & responsible history. I seriously doubt he'd be selling an unreliable system that hasn't been vetted.

I was the first customer car. Very first. It was to check fitment and have more than one car to tune with. Also another car to be driven to find any faults. So far, so good.

But thanks for giving me the benefit of the doubt. You can check my other user profiles and see I've gotten a small amount of credibility but I do sell Subarus for a living. So maybe that's what you're smelling on me!

I'll be the first to say my first tune had drivability issue, but my next revision was solid and the two after is what I'm running now. I've done three Import Face Offs (drag racing), two Street Car Takeovers, two Talimena Scenic drives (500miles), several trips out of town (Houston mostly about 500 miles one way, Dallas is 200 miles), a trip to the Ozarks and their awesome roads and it was my daily trans for the past two years.

You could say I've got some seat time. What I don't have is circuit time, which I'd like to remedy this coming season, but I haven't done anything to this kit other than wipe it down once in a while.

I would like a check up on my tune and to get my flex fuel going sooner or later. That's my biggest gripe. That and upgrades!

As someone else stated, the kit is similar to the Greddy kit in a lot of ways, however there are differences that separate it from the Greddy kit and they are actually doing more R&D work at the moment for an even better kit. There is a difference between blatantly copying or replicating a kit like SBD did, and using a preexisting kit as a platform to work off of to make something even bigger. Yes you could say that Hexon stole the idea from Greddy, to put the turbo in the location it is, but then why don't we start a shit show claiming every manufacture of a six spoke wheel stole the idea from the original creator of the six spoke wheel? I totally agree its wrong for companies to steal the ideas of others and simply rebrand the product without any changes, but i think its actually important for companies to look at pre existing kits and say "hmm if we changed this and this would it be a better performing kit?"
