Removing pedals
Is there any way to remove the pedals and the footrest..without butchering them?
I bought SRP pedals. But I feel like just drilling through the stock ones to slap SRP pedals seems a bit ghetto. Is drilling the only option for everyone who has installed SRP pedals?

F*ck it. Drilled through my pedals and made them ghetto. Will post pics and DIY if anyone is interested.

Did you take off the rubber/metal stock covers? There is already a DYI for this. If you didnt and need help I can find the link or offer tips I did this too.

I'm actually curious how you all mounted the gas pedal. dead pedal and clutch/brake are pretty obvious to me with the plastic covers (one of which is unfortunately glued to the carpet), but the gas pedal assembly looks like one big block with no way to remove the old pedal first.

I left the stock dead pedal. All the other pedals are rubber sleeves with metal tops. so just pull them off with a little man strength. If you want to get the dead pedal off then use a razor blade to cut the carpet from the dead pedal. Too me the only pedals that mattered were the clutch (with the DYI adjustment) brake and accelerator.

Please help with link or tips how to take off the rubber/metal stock covers. After removing is it possible to install them back again?

It would be possible to reinstall them I guess, but it depends on how careful you are getting them off. I wouldn't trust the tabs to stay in place more than one reinstall if it was carefully removed. SRP gas pedal is way better than stock anyways...

The stock metal/rubber covers are easy to pull off. Just get a flat head screw driver and pry off. Note you will have to screw and drill come to attach the new pedals. If you dry rather then cut you can put it back to stock later on. Like I stated I left the stock dead pedal. -Alex
