Curiosity got the better of me. Sent them some specs for a pretty basic radiator. Response was really quick and they asked for some additional info as well. That said,, they also said custom radiators start at $650 and go up from there. yikes. Think I'll be using on off the shelf.

Preliminary Radiator ducting and fresh air for Filter. Hopefully it helps with the intake temps.

It's going to be hard to get that to stay cool considering its right behind a 200 degree radiator. It might be better to bring it to the side like vorshlag does.

It's all getting moved around eventually. Back of the radiator will be ducted out the hood, so having the intake go to the side is a no go. Working on getting all the radiator hose/pipe stuff together to move the pipes out of the way/change radiator altogether.

It is $175 for a 2" Core Griffin Radiator - 27.5" wide x 15.5" height.
$270 for a 3" Core of the same dimensions. This is about 2.5" narrower, 1" shorter than factory/factory replacement (going off Mishimoto replacement). The 2" core is more than 1/2" thicker than the mishimoto core.

The Current air filter I am using is 6" at the base, which is too large to move any further into the bumper. K&N Offers filters with a smaller base and should fit perfectly into the bumper. So moving the radiator down more, move the filter into the bumper further for better air, move the radiator hoses out from behind the radiator and build a box to vent the rear of the radiator out the hood.

I did start looking at -AN hose for radiator hoses. The price got really expensive really quick. As I would really want -20 as it's a street/track car and even then I am seeing people say -24 is a better direction to go. -24 Fittings are over $120 a piece. Crazy.

Here's some additional info I got yesterday from Griffin,, may be of some use.

Attached is the drawing of the 1-55241-XS.

Core 22.5 x 15.5 x 2.68 = capacity for @ 500HP

If you did the 2 row 1” (22.5 x 15.5 x 2.25) = capacity for @ 325HP

As a sidebar,, have you looked at the CAI's for a C5 Corvette??

Seeing as my radiator is already in danger in the event of a front end collision. I am thinking about moving it under the crash beam. This will aid in ducting, and give me room to make a better/easier airbox. Need to get me some better prototype materials haha.

Sort of like:

I think it will look weird, but should function well.

Dealing with a low throttle position issue. When just trying to cruise, so low throttle, the car starts bucking. Feels like the throttle switches between open and closed rapidly. I am going to check the voltage on the TPS. Getting tired of the issues.

Also changed the passenger rear Hub as the bearing was dead. The really bad vibration has gone away, but I can still feel a rotational vibration coming from the rear. Going to see about the driver side hub, though we didn't feel anything the other day.

Not sure if I brought it up the other day, but have plans to make a new transmission mount as well. Want to use a mount with a little more give to it. Hope to make exhaust clearance better as well. NEED to get rid of the terrible drone in the car, so new "Y" pipe is also in the plans. Took the 9-5 to a wedding last night and it was nice not having your ears ringing after getting out of the car. Could also listen to the music on a low level. So nice.

Interesting News. Old Boss told me to find a good transmission mount to get a better trans mount mocked up, and to bring the car in to get A/C lines designed. Use Solid aluminum tubing will keep the line low profile and the cost down. I will just need to source the two a/c compressor fittings. Which will be easy.

Just because my grandpa keeps on asking me when I am buying turbos for the car,
I have been looking at different turbo manifolds, or possibly making my own. Kind of want to do a bottom mount manifold such as this. One on each side, should allow enough room for downpipes, and keeping A/C and Alternator (Maybe). Would be unique as well.

I'm looking to go twin turbo as well probably a Borg Warner EFR setup to simplify piping. If they will fit.

I'm going to use a LSA or LT4 then swap the supercharger out for the TT setup.

Looking forward to seeing your setup as your build progresses.

400hp is a lot of power around corners but in a long straight you get used to it.
