I drive one on a regular basis whenever I'm in Taiwan and I have no problems with the car.

Depending on what type of city you are in, it's a great car.

LOL It could be the best car in the world and I would still need a hug. Not a fan of any German cars not just that one.

Back in the 60's all sportscars waved to each other regardless of model. 99% of motorcyclist will wave if coming in the opposite direction. Harley's are in a class of their own, some give the 2 fingers down (good) ,some nothing at all (?),and if you belong to the Adventure Riders website the single finger up(middle) is acceptable (please check for the ADV sticker before you get pissed off). As some times this gesture may be misconstrued to your detriment !!!

Well into the 70s the sports and muscle car crowds would wave. Sort of died off in the 80s.

Don't think the guy wearing colours and the teenager on the scooter were in the same club so pretty sure the finger was intended to be taken at it's standard meaning.

Anyway, I've noticed it's a 50/50 chance you get a wave-back. The car isn't restricted to enthusiasts at it's price point, so the folks on the other end might be thinking there is some other reason you are waving and getting very confused. If you are used to driving a Camry, you wouldn't wave at all the other Camry drivers.
I used to own a Camry. If you waved at every Camry that went by, you might as well leave your arm up waving. There is a Camry every 5 cars...

here in AZ all the twins I've seen driven by men have acknowledged me with either a thumbs up or wave...yet to be noticed by a female 86 driver, however..

I rarely wave back, but it's usually because it catches me off guard.

Usually the blue or black ones that sneak up on me until it is too late.
I usually hear them coming before I see them no matter what colour though. Driving along going "I can hear you but I can't find you"
