Nearly had to kill a man today
My coworker came and told me about this, luckily he was walking by and stopped the guy before he bumped my FR-S. He was pushing the car so it wouldnt have been too much damage but I still would have flipped out

I bought a newish car (Honda Accord EX-L V6, so it was fairly nice) last year and took it to the beach a few days later. I parked in the last spot on the block so that no one would try to squeeze in behind me. There was probably maybe a quarter car length of space between the rear bumper and the intersection. Some dumb ass tried to park there anyways and left two hex bolt shaped dents in my bumper. Of course, they realized that they couldn't fit afterward and didn't stay in the spot. I found the bumps after returning from the beach.
Some people shouldn't be allowed to drive, including the person driving that red car above.

Oh crap, that's an extremely close call... I had a similar incident (though not as dramatic) earlier today where I parked at a restaurant away from all the other cars, and then all of a sudden a guy pulls up so close next to me... I just KNEW that he would ding my car badly as soon as he would open his door, but thankfully I was still in my car since I was waiting for my wife to pick up some food... I immediately reversed out in order to get away from him right before he opened the door. Whew!! Folks just don't think about others around them these days!
And I just thought I'd add this, but I really dislike it when people create a permanent habit of continuing to pull forward until their front tires hit / touch the curb as they are parking! I think that's similar to what was happening in the OP's situation here...

Happened to me too in a crowded mall parking lot with 45 degree parking head to head with no wheel stoppers. I parked with at least 1.5 ft left from the end as a habit to avoid scratching front bumper. What did the moron parking his gigantic hummer in the opposite spot do? Go straight right into my spot with .5" to spare my car! I came blackout to grab my phone after 10 mins and went into a rage. Fk I'm still pissed now. Almost keyed their car in rage, exerted self control and moved my car to another spot.
Man some pp are jackasses. Glad ur car is ok man. |

The issue when parking that close is that if the car is being held by the parking brake, it can rock forward even more when it comes to rest on the parking pawl when the brake is released. On any sort of incline that red car might have kissed your car when the owner decided to leave.
