I think I'm going to pull the trigger on all black scion emblems here soon. I'm tired of having to be careful with the plastidip around those areas when I wash.

Does anyone else think that Toyota might have to take a serious look improving overall quality and reliability of the FR-S specifically because it will now fall under the Toyota brand?

The FR-S is now up to par reliability wise. The first year was all the teething issues. I think the refresh will bring some fixes for the Subaru-acceptable items, though (dash rattles, for example). I could see a fight brewing in the planning department over noisy high pressure fuel pumps, too.

It's always been under the Toyota brand in other parts of the world and it still had the same issues we had here in the states. Besides, even if Scion hadn't been axed, Toyota would have still prided themselves with overall quality and reliability with the Scion models just as they have with their own lineup.

The 2017 refresh will fix lots of problems but also could bring issues of it's own.

Experience...

But I will restate the first part. "The 2017 refresh might possibly theoretically guessingly supposibly maybe might fix some maybe none maybe 10 1st gen issues.

Thank you. It's just your non-professional opinion. That's cool and I appreciate you being honest about it. Too many people on this forum are quick to make an opinion a statement based on ZERO facts. I thought maybe you knew something the rest of us didn't.
