FRS 4 Life!
I'm surprised that climate control isn't standard now that the car will have LED headlights standard. I want to see some more interior shots though. |

I personally don't think they did enough to pump up sales of the car with these changes. Between this car and the new MX-5 I think they are just completely missing the mark on power. Giving the car more power does not make it less fun to drive. It would make it more fun and more competitive. There is nothing fun about being slower than most family sedans in a straight line. |

We can only see how other people that are non-enthusiasts view the new car. If they don't like the way they look and like the older ones better then the 1st gen's will go up. Value is based on supply&demand.

I actually they will go into more demand because of 2 main things. Styling, and i feel like the new one is going to be more soft like what they did with Subaru WRX to attract the more mainstream buyers.
For example, clean 04-07 STI's are sometimes worth more than 2012 STI's or worth the same. (In the Canadian market anyways)

The more I see if the more it looks sharkish rather than squid like. Especially the bump in the front

Probably not much. If they would have significantly bumped the power it would have been a different story and, I suspect, you would have seen a flood of people selling the current gen car to get into the newer one which would have hurt resale.
If I were a current owner of an FT86 there is not enough here with this car to make me want to trade up. I actually like the looks of the current gen cars as much if not more. |

Is it safe to assume that the new BRZ will be at New York too? I wonder if Subaru will follow up on their STi concept?

Seeing as tons of enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts wouldn't touch the first gen for being a Scion, I can only see this new gen hurting the resale values since it's now a Toyota which is what everyone wanted to begin with.

If they do ever decide to make that car, it'll kill the Toyota.
