Getting frustrated opti-guard

Im starting to believe my search has come to an end. Basicly, NOBODY in chicagoland area opti-guards (atleast in my local area.) Im about to contact someone far away and have my car shipped down, or my cousin drive it, south where people know what this stuff is. I would of thought SOMEBODY would have atleast knew what it was. NOPE.... If anyone knows someone who isnt charging a 600+ dollars to apply it, after they read the directions first, please pm me

Have you talked to Ivan @ LUSTR? I'd be surprised if he doesn't offer it, but I have no clue what he charges.

OPT Also lists a distributor in Chicago on their website, and the guy offers detailing as well...

Again, I can't speak to their prices or quality of work, but there are surely some options out there.

Tell him to contact either Chris Thomas or Dr. David Ghodoussi @ Optimum Polymer Technologies to inquire:

I recommended Ivan a while back but apparently he wasn't doing OptiGuard at the time. Maybe things have changed?

Myself? Optiguard?

I was thinking, this can't be that hard to apply? Is this something I can do myself? I can read instructions, I can cook, I can clay bar, I can polish, I can paint.

If I can do it myself, which product do I buy?

Sorry if there is a thread for this already.

Opti-coat 2.0. Check the many YouTube videos - very simple 30-minute application.

Then why are people so upset they can't find an opticoat place to put it on? Do they have no hands? Are there different opticoat products on the market?

My understanding is the paint needs to be corrected before application of opti coat. Sure opticoat may take 30 minutes to apply but for most people, including me, learning to correct paint and having the right tools to do so and doing it on your brand new car...

Im willing to drive a good distance as i started to persuade myself in letting my cousin drive down south for application. I really appreciate the advice. Its just this is my car, so i cant non objectively do it. Thats when you mess up....
