@mrbbs, just get Megan/hardrace inner tie rods. They'll increase the steering angle enough to the point where the endlinks start to bind. Only $90 too

How much is that though? If the knuckles cost 5 times as much but give 20° more angle then it would still be worth buying.

Doesn't matter how much angle any certain part can give because after a certain point, the end links bind. In order to get more angle, you need to correct this by utilizing a setup that mounts the endlink to the LCA rather than the coilover. You can have knuckles modded and tie rods and you still won't get more than what the endlinks will allow.

In short, the knuckles WOULD give you more angle if you could correct the endlink bind. If you don't correct it, then the tie rods will give you the same amount of usable lock.

So you have 3 options:

1. Buy inner/outer tie rods for additional angle and bumpsteer correction

2. Modify knuckles to get more angle (same amount as tie rods can offer before endlinks bind)

3. Wait for the Parts shop MAX kit, or another similar kit to come out onto the market cause the kit corrects endlink bind, tie rod bind, and gives you all the additional angle and adjustability you could possibly need.

Gotcha. Makes sense. And it's been a pretty long time now since PBM announced they built their kit.

Just FYI> Took my Brrrz to the track for some sideways fun again today.
Whole different ballgame with the blower.
Up here the air is so horrible, a stock BRZ has about 150 of its ponies left, so with the base map blower kit it's probably around 220, which is... usable.

Either way, my love for the chassis hasn't changed.
Good fun pitching this thing around.

Do you think its really necessary to get outer tie rods for bump steer correction, or can I just get away with just doing the Megan / Hardrace inners with stock outers for additional angle?

Dude I'm local to them and all I can say is that they're aiming for some new FRS/BRZ shit to drop before the year's end.

Idk about necessary but we both know the benefits of adding parts that can help correct bump steer.

I'm interested to see if it happens. I saw pics of the grey FRS with a prototype knuckle kit on the car around October or November of last year

Yeah that's one of Dan's cars. They've been on there for R&D for a while now. I would call Dan but he's out of country like every other week. I hate phone tag...
