Anybody near Middle Indiana

Hey, this is kind of a plug, but maybe if anyone is looking for somewhere to Autocross this weekend, there is a 2 day event at Grissom Aeroplex in Peru, IN that my SCCA Region is putting on this weekend. Mostly I'm just hoping someone with an FR-S/BRZ has the car and wants to get it out on a course. If I'm not mistaken, there was an effort to patch up some areas last weekend that should make for more usable areas (if you've ever been there before). Entries includes a lunch each day, catered by Subway. Lunch includes sandwich, chips, cookie and water. Here is a direct link to the MotorsportReg registration page. http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.c...5DB272C4D5CA23

Hope I get to see some of you (and your cars) there.

I'll be honest, I myself have never been to this site, but a lot of people seem to like it. Lots of open space to play with. Be warned that if you show up with an FR-S or BRZ, I'm probably going to ask you if I can sit in it (at the very least!) 4 hours is quite a long drive though, I'm sure if you really want to play but don't want to drive so far, there is something closer. Don't let that discourage you though

Lots of people from my region have made the trip, and at least one is registered already. I'm just lazy.

My understanding though is the surface is VERY hard on tires.

When are those? I don't think I'll be able to get out to them, which is too bad. I'm pretty sure your car will be awesome, Bill.

I am busy this weekend, but otherwise i'd be at the toledo express NWOR event. I miss going to peru. Haven't made it out there the last 2 years, and ill be busy again this year during both major events (glss and nat tour). If anyone makes it out there i highly recommend going to Los Tres Cominos restraunt! Phenominal chimis and margaritas!!

My first and likely only event in the BRZ this year will be the GLSS 2-day event at the Pontiac Silverdome in Pontiac MI June 23-24. I'll be running RTR on OE tires and all (unless someone wants to loan me a stock legal set of r-comps on wheels )

You have a reply!

I dont think Peru is too awful on tires. Lincoln is brutal.

Peru was never "easy" on tires, but there are definitely worse sites.

*every* single site in our region is sealed asphalt.... I'd love some tire wear actually...

There's an event in Dayton, OH that day too. Might be closer for you. I'll be there on Sunday.

Have you been there? Not much of a site... And walls. Not worth the 5 hour round trip for me. Since my other two wheels don't show up till mon I'll probably just stay home and :happy0180:
