I mean its not like adding FI, but it is impressive none the less.
Thanks. If you ever get around to dyno'ing your new setup, please post results.

That would be @sw20kosh. I'm not sure what setup he was running, but he's not running the stock exhaust. You wouldn't hear it flying by on a stock exhaust.

Rumor has it his driving style is very similar to mine... he's certainly fast enough to tell people he's me

Also, Type-B headers are now discontinued, now that Type-A header production has (finally) caught up with backorders.

Is there any performance difference between the two or it is simply aesthetics due to the manufacturing process differences?

Real world? Not really. On a dyno/scales/theoretically, yes; the A is seam welded, and has smoother internal sidewall (no slight raised edges from the slip fits), which allows for smoother flow aka less turbulance. This is manifested in small variances on the dyno. Peak power and peak torque, are unaffected. The A is also lighter than the B.

I have a Greddy SP Elite axle back (discontinued), ACE FP, ACE 350A. It is quiet on freeway cruising and around town but gets loud/raspy when you mash on it. The quality of the tone is better than stock at least. I think the packing material is probably degraded as I feel like it has been getting louder and louder. Time for ACE muffler.

ACE catback would make my dreams come true. I like to keep the mix and match to a minimum if possible.

I'm trying to avoid buying twice or having 2 ecuteks, I don't yet have an ecutek and will be buying a CARB JRSC. After that, I'll get the Ace!

EcuTek is permanent; once you have it, you have it forever, on that specific car.

What I meant was if I buy the Ace header, I would have to buy an ecutek and license to tune the header. I plan on buying a CARB JRSC and I think it comes with ecutek and CARB tune. Pardon my ignorance but am I misunderstanding something?

EDIT: If I were to buy the ACE after I pick up the JRSC, I would just have to pay for a tune for the header. Right?

I would think you could get the header and tune now and then buy the JRSC kit without a tune and just have JR send you the CARB tune to flash since you wouldn't need the tuner and cable itself. I know Edlebrock will provide the tune if you already have the tuner.
