Open Flash... Help Please!
Hope the community here can help me (because so far Open Flash have not responded...)
I'm trying to write the original code back to my ECU. I haven't used the Open Flash Tablet since writing the 91 EL tune to my ECU last year. I connect it and follow the procedure selecting my original tune then, just after it says "Preparing to write" I get: "Opps... An error occurred while writing to the ECU Please try again." I have tested the connections and they seem fine; the Tablet appears to be functioning normally otherwise (I can read codes and see diagnostics, etc.). I have tried repeatedly. I found one thread on here where someone experienced the same problem, but it ends with them saying Open Flash support was going to contact them. Help please!? I'm selling my car and need to remove the tune. I've been extremely happy with the OFT... hopefully this is just a minor 'glitch'! Thanks in advance for any suggestions! |

Couple things to try:
Plug the OFT in, then start car Start car, then plug OFT in Blow into OFT's OBD port and the OFT side of OBD cable Wiggle and check that OBD cable is plugged into car OBD port properly The blowing into OFT and OFT side of OBD cable is what helps me the most with issues, no idea why. There's also something about the template files, but i've never messed with those Sent from my HTC6535LVW using Tapatalk |

Hmm if you can read codes and see diagnostics/logging then appears connection ok. make sure battery volts are good oft wont read/write if battery is low. Make sure your turning ignition to full ON, not just accessory, but with engine OFF. If still no go disconnect battery for a few minutes to reset ecu. connect and try again |
