What can be connected to the USB port for entertainment?
The manual says that an 8gb flash drive is as large a device that can be used, but a 64gb micro SD card has been used successfully. Can a hard drive be used? What options are there?
Thanks!

I have a 250GB USB powered hard drive hooked up to my stock head unit. It has to be reformatted to FAT32, but I have several hundred albums ripped to 320
kb .mp3's on it and it works fine. I would love it if it would play .flac files natively. The only work around I have found so far is downloading flac files to my iPhone and a flac player app and playing it through the usb cord. It would also be nice if the Garmin app on my phone could show up on the display instead of the installed nav unit. |

So for a USB HDD/SSD, the only requirement is FAT32? If so, that's awesome!! Is the USB port enough to power the device, or do I need external power?

THE USB port is enough power, no extra required.

Hard Drive only did not work. It was formatted to exFat...Is that the issue or do I really need an extra power source and, if so...could I use the port in the glove compartment?
