Mine loved them some superworms. The extra large crickets were more entertaining though.

Yep, I remember when I had a tank platoon (5 tanks) attached to my Infantry Company. The tank platoon leader (Lt Matsumoto - an Italian) noticed that I jumped every time a tank fired. He suggested he could signal me before they fired ...... I told him it wouldn't matter ..... I would still jump.

Heck, I could hunch down over a .50 Cal machinegun and fire it till the barrel melted down and not even flinch........

I have stacks of stickers/decals just lying in the garage that I have never used, a cricket sticker may be the only one I ever put on my car.

I just went to look up the difference in muzzle velocity between the Abrams and the Mk 45 LWGS cause the Mk 45 is quiet as non other (both inside the mount and outside). We may fire a slightly larger caliber but we don't put near the size powder charge behind it apparently that they use in the Abrams.

Which is funny cause you'd think it'd be the reverse since a massive ship could better handle that kind of recoil.

I love this post so much. Really. It's a remarkable summation of the entire forum. Basially just missing some perspective of "should have come with X amount of power from the factory"

Don't get me wrong, I come here frequently and there's lots of great insight. But this post though. incredible.

Being that my main job was always fueling aircraft if I ever heard a big boom you can bet your ass I would jump! And run like a sonofabitch.

I only hear the crickets at idle, and only when standing outside the car. They are totally inaudible when inside.

I assume this is the typical experience? FYI - my 2013 FR-S has 37.5k miles.

Just live with the crickets unless you really want to spend $20,000 to put a 2jz in it... You could delete the direct inject but that's not exactly gonna be easy either. Google around for it if you really can't live with the crickets
