How exactly do you set it for max camber, but not max caster? Rotate them so that the strut top is in the inner forward position? Wouldn't that decrease caster by the same amount that it added in the max caster/camber position?

I still haven't installed either the caster bushings or the camber bolts. I didn't want to redo the alignment and I couldn't find a die to press out the bushings, so now both are waiting.

Not sure but does sound like it.

To any of you who are getting the noises, have you noticed any rub marks on your inner fender, behind the strut, where the swaybar endlink has been making contact? I see massive amounts of paint missing on my car on both sides in these areas. I'm wondering if the swaybar endlink contact could be putting unanticipated loads on the bearing that cause it to fail.

I'm back to being noise-free again after changing my swaybar endlinks to stock. The Whiteline ones I was using were just a little too short and binding, causing a creaking noise from the top mounts. My top mounts are the improved versions, and I have about 3000 miles on them, plus six autocrosses.

I thought about that. I looked and everything is fine. I'm on stock links and sway bars. I think it's the extra caster as they asked me on the next set not to use the extra caster.

Oh, and I spoke too soon on being noise free. No clunks, but still getting my creaks whenever the wheel crosses a certain point. I've also been trying them with the "less caster" position as well. Worth noting is that if you rotate the mounts to the "less caster" position, then you really aren't getting much, if any, camber over the stock mounts.

Either way, I'm switching to Ground Control camber plates as soon as they get here.

I swapped my stock mounts back in today. So much quieter.

My car did have some evidence of rubbing around the upper end link.

With all of these problems with the Whiteline mounts are there any other alternative products to accomplish the same goal? I'm looking to add a little more negative camber running RCE yellows on stock struts but I only have 3mm of front spring perch clearance. This rules out camber bolts unless I add wheel spacers and camber plate options are expensive, add NVH and the selection is very limited for my spring application. Any suggestions? Thank you!

You can also look at Vorshlag and Ground Control. They both have front camber plates.

I took a look at those, they're not really the same thing. They use a spherical bearing, that's good for radial loads not so good for axial loads. The Whiteline plates use a roller bearing. If you use plates with a spherical bearing you're gonna need to add a roller bearing to prevent spring binding.

I've had my new COMCs on for several weeks and through several AutoX events with the Subaru conical washer and RCE yellows. They are currently set at max camber and max caster and have yet to make noise. At this same point in time with the original units without the Subaru conical washer they were making noise. YMMV.
