Anyone know if the circular 'vents' will allow fresh air to go through to the cabin? or do you have to wind down the windows...

yeah you can, cycle air within the cabin, or flow through from outside or you can wind down your window. :P

■Changing between activated/deactivated
Step 1 Press the “ODO/TRIP” switch repeatedly until the setting

Step 2 Each time the switch is pressed and held, the function
changes between activated/deactivated.
“S-on”: Activated
“S-oFF”: Deactivated

This is from the BRZ manual; I am assuming it is the same for the 86.

Ok for the 86 if no one has brought it up..
Put key in ACC not ON.. then press odo trip 4 times and you get G-off.. hold odo trip and it goes G-on......
Haven't figured what it does tho..

Edit: my bad it's a shift indicator for mt according to user manual.. tells you when to shift up for efficient driving.. beeps 3 times

Tacho sweep would have been nice.

I dont like the gts sat nav. Dont really want sat nav anyway.

All i wanted was rca outputs, quick response, and fast turn on for a head unit. I got none of those 3.

Another question.
After i turn off the car and open the door some annoying beeping noises start then i close the door and they stop, open again and it doesnt beep. Any way to turn the beeps off !!!

Love my push start, just get annoyed having push it a few times to get acc or radio to turn on, press it one extra time and u have to cycle back through again to get the radio on, then wait for the unit to boot up again.
Annoying, just sayin.

I heard catback exhaust systems won't effect warranty, but what about catless systems?

All catless exhausts are illegal on the road. Its there for a reason. . . Im sure it would affect waranty too.

The fine is about 10k for this sort of thing isnt it ? I had a blocked egr valve on the celica and found out i would have copped a massive fine if the car was epa? (polution) Tested ?

I think it's pretty cool for a mt to have this.. now I can attempt to get some more mileage in bumper 2 bumper... and with my local bp having no fuel for a whole week is a worry :/

Wouldn't the ecu also chuck a fit?
To put a higher flow cat converter on my previous vw they said I'd need a reflash.. hence voiding warranty all together..

Catless header is likely to throw a CEL and void warranty. Catless front pipe shouldn't throw a CEL but is still likely void warranty.

Flashing ECU to stop the CEL will definitely void warranty.

Cheers. Well I am pretty keen on the HKS hi-power spec L exhaust. Does anyone know if this is a catback?
