I searched around a bit and THINK I answered my own question. B8's are less than 1" shorter in extended length than the B6, which I believe are OEM length. I'm hoping to get some confirmation from the earlybirds on here before I order tomorrow. I'm way too lazy to pop the OE dampers off and measure them.

Just before nationals? I bet we see them on a car at El Toro this weekend.

Let me know when the port-installed option becomes retroactively available for the 'Torque Dip Correction Kit' and then we can talk.

well, this is all very interesting.

are the TRD spring specs the same as those listed in the "suspension" forum sticky?

"TRD FRA Set 0.6"/3.5K 0.6"/5.8K MS260-18001 $3289"

which is certainly an improvement, and would negate the need to really touch the RSB due to the massive bump in rear rate

(again, assuming the following is correct from same thread)

OEM Scion FR-S M/T 0.0"/2.3k 0.0"/3.8k F:SU003-04144 $83.90

Thanks for doing all the legwork @simpleisbest ! I'm anxious to see how things pan out throughout the season TRD FRS vs. regular CS FRS vs. BRZ.

I bet you're right. I'm thinking there's a certain Socal person in this thread that probably already has them on the car already.

You'll be the first to know. I hear that the "Torque Dip Correction Kit" includes a turbo

Part number doesn't line up, (PTR07-18130) but I can't find anything except "TRD Proprietary Rates" relating to the right number. Also, the drop is almost double (1-1/8").

To be honest, I agree with @renfield90 about how this is really going to cause some discord amongst non-FRS owners in CS.

That being said, I'll likely use the mods while they are legal. Waiting to see how they perform, and waiting for some financial obligations to clear up, but I will probably install both. I mean, if I can CS legally lower my car and get rid of a little wheel gap I'm fine with that. haha

Garage
I called my locally Toyota dealership, and they're listing the TRD sway bars to be sold as a pair only.

Is this correct? I obviously only need the rear....

That's correct. The letter is a typo.

another caveat... the bumpstops.

with the car being lowered and the perch height being the same, the OEM length bumpstops will most certainly be fully engaged. This will have the benefit (from a racing point of view, anyway) from no longer having that response delay as the car compresses through the spring before seeing an exponentially rising rate post bump engagement. Furthermore, this now heightened increase in effective spring rate may remove the need to put on a thick FSB, improving wheel independence and mechanical grip....

I don't suppose the TRD package also includes modified bumpstops?

mmmmmmmm, tasty.........

Does not. Only springs.

I ordered a Hotchkis front bar too. You might have a point though.
