One question. I have been wondering if the 57xtreme 9.5 40 on our cars need a hub rings. 65 to 56 is what i found. Is it required for safety? Thanks!!! It seems there is a mixture of information which concerns me.

Well...it's always better safe than sorry right? Think of it this way, you're spending at least $2K on wheels/tires, what's another $40-50?

And yes, 65 to 56 is correct.

Hey, just wanted to let ya guys know (even if you got them already) you do not need hub rings on these wheels. I have them also and another 57 model and they are made for brz nicely. Fits on the $ with the hub

Would these fit on stock struts with lowering springs?

NVM found the answer.

So, I'll share the info I was told. For 18x9.5 squared, it will fit with trd springs but will rub in the front if you get big tires, 235/40 tire size recommended for the front if you're rocking trd springs. No problems with the rear with up to a 265 tire size.

I have the RS 1.0 so mine came with TRD springs, don't really wanna spend for coilovers.

I'm a really big fan of these rims so I'm glad I didn't HAVE to get coilovers.

I suggest getting the 18x8.5 +42 for best fitment on stock struts. It has the same concave face as these.

Hello~ Just installed my 57xtreme sp spec 18 9.5 40 with RE11 255 35 18 lowered about an inch or slightly more...
My rears seem okay but i see rubbing marks on my front wheel. I have the RSR sports i club racer with camber plates. Haven't messed with the camber plates yet but would changing the front camber a little bit negative prevent further rubbing? and what degree would be ideal for camber in the front. Thanks for your help in advance!!! will post some pix once i adjust the front camber and a car wash.

Be more specific. Marks on the wheel or tire? Where exactly? 1.3-3camber is good, depends on the driving style and depends on the rear, usually .5 or more in front than rear.

I saw lines close to the side wall of the tires as if it rubbed on the edge of my front fenders and the front fender edge had black marks like the tire rubbed on it sorry if I didn't explain well enough don't know how to exactly describe it.

@dkstylezz It is probably the side marker or near it. Add camber and you are good. At one inch drop the rear will be about 1.5ish camber, I would say 2-2.5 is good in the front.

If you want to check, you can turn the wheel and look how close it is. You can also stiffen the shocks up a click or two.

Are these needed? When i ordered these wheels, i was told by the vendor they are not needed. I think in the original spec these maybe had a larger bore? Hard to get a caliper down into the center, but it appears to be around a 56 center bore on the wheels i got, so maybe the newere versions were made to the 56mm bore diameter for our vehicles.
