I want to gain those few mm for road clearance, also on the looks department I want to reduce the fender gap. Currently the car is lowered 1.1", as I previously stated the car have coilovers and I could lower them further, but I don't want to. There are to many speedbumps in Puerto Rico and is a pain to drive already as it is.

U have coilovers adjusted to give -1.1" drop, and u want thicker sidewalls (will throw off speedo, could rub, changes gearing, mpg, etc) when you could just raise the car using the coilovers?

As @jshadeck mentioned, doesn't jive to get coilovers, lower it and then go for a non-OEM diameter to increase road clearance but I know why you are doing so (highlighted your response above). Hope you have invested in a good set of coilovers to gain the better damping given the road conditions there, but if you cheaped out then the ride will be worse than OEM.

There is no issue with the tire fitting the wheel or the tire fitting the car, but keep in mind that the tire will be 3/4" taller than stock which will affect gearing, acceleration and of course speedo accuracy. Your car will be travelling 3% faster than the speed indicated.

Thanks for the response. @Slick @jshadeck I was taking into consideration the change in gearing and in speedo, but I didn't though it would affect the car significantly. I have seen the Meaty Tire thread and those guys are running crazy numbers with their tires, so again with the questions, I could get a 255/40 (102 mm) and still it would be taller than oem (96.75 mm) but shorter than the 235/45 (105.75 mm). Does this set up would fit?

As for the coilover is a HKS Hypermax GT IV, it has 30 level of damping adjustment, front camber plate adjustment and definitely I could lowered up to 2.2" as per HKS Guide. I have only see one thread about a member using this coilover, in my opinion I love it, is perfect for DD and for the track. (sorry for the off topic comment).

*** idea in mind:
Yokohoma S drives mounted on pressed graphite Volk TE37SL supported by Yanaka Spec II coil overs for my raven FR-S

Front: 245/35/18 mounted on 18x8.5+40

Rear: 265/35/18 mounted on 18x9.5+40

Drop: 1 inch on coil overs. (Would prefer no camber)

Any input/feedback/criticism/photos would be appreciated. For some reason I don't get notified when people reply so if anyone would mind taking the time to pm me and let me know that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks in advance!

lowered on h&r super sport springs and looking at getting enkei pf01 18x8.5 +48. I was told 245/40/18 would be the appropriate tire size. WILL IT FIT?

40 is pretty large on an 18 inch wheel. id recommend looking at 35s.

Should fit fine and be a really great setup. May need lower control arms if you dont want any camber, but u may want some once u drive your car with a couple degrees of negative camber. If you can afford the TE37s, then you shouldnt be overly concerned with added tire wear running a couple degrees of neg camber.

so would 18x8.5+48 with a 245/35/18 fit with the super sport springs?

yes, I run 18x9.5 e38 with 255/35/18 with no rolled fenders on eibach sportlines dropped 1.5 inches and I have zero rub at full crank. I would check the e48 on the simulator and double check that you're not going to hit the perch, but other than that you should be fine. Worst case you can use a spacer in the fronts if u are hitting the perch or go with less offset.

Would 18x8.5 with 44 offset fit well?
