It rains so often in the summer without warning I try to go outside with an Absorber and wipe off after a rain shower. Wheels get cleaned from brake dust ect. and a good tire shine every other week. Too many cars to maintain now.

After every track day which is about 2 weeks. I also wax the front of the car every time also as it makes it way easier to get the rubber marks off from the track. I really only drive the car when I am heading to the track, rest of the time it has a nice cozy garage to sit in.

My wife thinks I love the car more than her, so I had to wash and wax her car the other day.

For a while I was washing/detailing mine about once every 4 weeks, but I've been bad this cycle and by the time I wash it Saturday it'll have been dirty about 5 or 6 weeks.

It's hard because I don't have a space at my apartment to wash it and the self-service wash places I've seen don't let you bucket wash if it's crowded, so I usually go to a relative's house on a weekend. But weekends have been busy lately.

I wash with water two or three times a year and protect with a paint sealer + wax. I use a waterless wash weekly with quick detail spray. Been doing this for 4 years now.

I don't think it's bad to wash your car every week as long as you're doing it right and waxing more often.

Yes given the water situation here in our lovely brown state.

By you living in California, your car doesn't give a rip if you never wash it....

Just wash it (with car washing soap) whenever you feel it's dirty.

I usually wash my car about twice a year. Which reminds me, I'm late for the spring washing ......

wash every week, wax every 3-4 weeks. I drive 100 miles a day, so I try to keep some protection on it

From when the snow melts until it falls again I wash it at least once a week. I alternate between one week touchless wash (not reused water) and one week hand wash in the driveway. If it rains I may do an extra wash in the middle of the week since my car actually gets dirtier from the spray on the highway than the rain actually cleaning it. I will also frequently wipe it down with a detail spray in between those weekly washes. Our water is supplied directly from Lake Huron so there is no need to skimp or conserve.

In the winter when the snow, slush, beat juice, salt and sand are on the highway I may run it through a touchless was as often as every other day. I buy an unlimited wash card for a good wash bay near work for $50 a month so it isn't expensive. Once every couple of weeks I will go to a do it yourself wash (again not using recycled water) and give it a good spray underneath and a wipe down. Doesn't really matter what I do in the winter though since 1/2 an hour after being completely washed it will still look like it hasn't been touched in months. I feel better for that 1/2 hour though and my brain is convinced it runs better when clean (I know it does not but that means nothing to my butt dyno).

I wash every Sunday early in the morning to beat the heat. Either the two bucket method or a quick run through a touchless wash. I always apply a detail spray after every wash for a little protection throughout the week.
