I believe that was @EJ. who was going to install the mishimoto. If I recall, I believe @MicheleAbbate has the same set-up on her racecar

But it made 295hp, from 187. And 213 Tq from 146.
Both numbers were on e85. Full catless exaust and Borla uel header.

The car is having some stalling issues when it comes to a stop. They are going to look into it next weekend.
I am going up after work to pick her up.
Wow, went straight to the E85 eh? You guys aren't messing around lol. Are you running Delicious FnG or custom tune?

The provided intake box will not clear with this header in the way. Even with modification to move it around, there is a very high risk of melting something. Currently looking at ACE for a new header.

Happy Friday!
Is there enough clearance for maybe a section of heat wrap or heat shield? Eitherway, I guess its not ideal to have so much heat so close to the intake.

We have been running the delicious tuning flex fuel kit for about a year now. And now this is one of their flash and go tunes. I'm supposed to meet up with him weekend after this to figure out my stalling issue. There's a thought It might have to do with our lightweight flywheel.

My friends at the shop that installed it said it rips pretty hard and that even under half throttle the rear likes to break loose. I already have wider tires I guess I might have to look into going even larger :-)

yep! We run the Mishimoto oil cooler! No issues here with temps - it's still be relatively cool out since installed the Eforce kit though!

Also, remember, use my coupon code: ABBATE30 at www.Mishimoto.com for instant savings

I'd be curious to ride your (your lady's?) car sometime at one of the meets. I've been on the fence with the flex fuel, mostly because come smog time, I'd have to swap back and forth. I just try to tell myself that I'm happy with the power (which I am, but MOAR is always better right?!)

Haha yeah it's the woman's. And I have a feeling I am about to be all kinds of jelly. But definitely down to give a ride.

Switch the frs to a somg setup is no big deal compared to my celica. I got to remove my blower, injectors computer and put exaust back every other year.

You want it. It's too easy and cheap to get that extra power safely.

Light flywheels have a tendency to do that, especially if you have a super light one.

Lightweight setups like a SPEC clutch/fw combo can cause decel stalling on these cars? Is it more prevalent in SC applications?

To those running Flexfuel, would you recommend upgrading the clutch or can the stock still hold up to it? I've gone with aftermarket clutches in the previous cars and I am yet to find one that drove better than the stock.

I went with an upgraded clutch when I was still on 93. The old clutch, which had 70k on it, still looked brand new with no signs of slipping. On the other hand, I have replaced slipping clutches in more than a few turbo 86s with less power/tq than what I am making now. Some of it may be driving style, but I would say you'll need one sooner rather than later if you go flex fuel.

Yes definitely. But i would have upgraded even with the carb tune because how hard we are on it. She also had about 50k on the stock.

Sounds like your throttle may still be learning then.

In the initial learning stages, you can actually stall the car by stepping on the throttle *just the right amount* (although I don't know very many people who actually use this part of the throttle range).
