Deal on FRS any good?

Guys, I request for your expertise on the pricing of the following car:

http://www.autotrader.ca/a/Scion/FR-...howcpo=ShowCPO

Is it a good purchase? I was able to knock it down $500 to $26,500.

Doesn't seem like the dealer knows its monogram, even then how is the pricing for a 2014 monogram series? What extra features does this car have from the picture? Very few details are given on ad.

Keep in mind this is in Canada, Many thanks!

Not a horrible deal I would suggest trying to get him a little bit lower.

Hard to tell from the pics and it does LOOK like a Monogram but the description is for the features of a base only.
Not sure it s a great deal even for a Monogram since it has 10K on it already and at $26.5K you are only saving about $2K or so over a new Monogram and are right at the price of a brand new base. (U.S. guys, we pay much more in Canada). The dealer here has 2 used 2014 base models with about 10K on them that they are selling for $23K. Of course there are the regional differences in prices but that is a pretty dramatic gap.

Not sure how much choice you have for dealers in BC but in Ontario (or at least in London) they are not selling too well and the dealers have a lot of 2014 stock left. This means that with the 2015s coming out soon they are starting to get a little nervous and deals can be had.

Just got mine last week and got a GREAT deal for that very reason.
Was the dealer showroom car that they built up to showcase almost all the add on items you can get. After ****ering a bit I got the whole works for $28K (about $5-6k worth of goodies for $1.5K). It didn't hurt that the 2015s were due to arrive by the end of the week.

Soooo... if they don't want to come down a bit more it may pay too shop around and see what might be out there for new stock that the dealers want to get rid of before they roll out the 2015s!

Sorry but they are asking $27k for a used car with almost 6000 miles, NO WARRANTY, and its not certified pre owned, also at the bottom of the description there is an additional $550 "documentation" fee.

Its also listed close to $2k over KBB value.

I would not touch it with a 10 foot pole.

EDIT: This is canada so my opinion is based of US market and may not be valid. I still say avoid this at all costs though.

Yeah the usa gets very lucky with car prices. We pay virtually nothing compared to other places for the same car. In the philippines we could all be driving base model C7 corvettes for the price they paid for their 86.

Ok but still has nothing to do with the fact that it is that new and sold WITH NO WARRANTY and not a certified pre owned.

On a car that new, even used, I would want it to have both. That is the main reason why I say pass.

Factory warranty still applies.

Comparing to US market is irrelevant.

BAsed on the relative scarcity of the Monogram, the dealer could have tried to ask for more. If you like the colour and the vehicle is in good condition, I'd buy it. Beware them trying to screw you on in-house financing and BS admin fees.

I got a 2014 Asphalt FRS with 4500 miles, automatic, in perfect shape, for 20,000 a couple weeks ago.
It was a trade in to a VW dealership, bought new in January.

And yes I intentionally got automatic, what with 85 mile one-way commute and non-stick driving wife.
I also get 42 MPG on the freeway driving 65 at 2k RPM

Do some research online, see what other dealers in your area are selling them for. I would buy it as soon as you feel comfortable with the price. What is it worth to you? I haven't seen a used monogram in my area, but most similar base models with that mileage go for 21,000-22,000
