I meant the Castrol SRF (http://www.castrol.com/castrol/secti...tentId=7040556) you can buy from Amazon today.

Description: "Castrol SRF Brake Fluid is a DOT 4 brake fluid suitable for all disc and drum brake systems except those prescribed for mineral oil. Castrol SRF is a high-performance product. Castrol SRF Brake Fluid's unique silicon ester technology absorbs less water than conventional glycol ether fluids and prevents the fluid's high temperature performance from deteriorating. Its wet boiling point of 270°C (518°F) is vastly superior to the minimum requirement of 155°C demanded by the current US DOT 4 specification. Its ability to withstand temperatures in excess of 300°C and superior resistance to the effects of absorbed water have established Castrol SRF Brake Fluid as the world's premier fluid for the hydraulic brakes used in all forms of motorsport and racing. 1 Liter Bottle."

Would you agree that this is one of the best and longest lasting brake fluids out there for our cars on track? Thanks

I simply used new longer ss bolts and stacked up ss nuts inbetween the hood and hinges to give me about an inch of "prop."

Would this effectively/noticeably help keep engine/oil/coolant temps down on track days?

I wish there was some kind of a&b test (any links?) with hard data/numbers, of non-prop vs prop, that could prove this helps while out on the track. I'm sure it would be a simple test nowadays, with so many people logging and keeping track of their temps during sessions.

You know how muscle cars have hood cowls? The cowl is there cuz it sucks in air there. By sucking in air there, you're decreasing the amount of air going through your radiator, which in turn, decreases your cooling.

Disagree.

"excess of 300°C" is less than the 335°C of G-Four.

RBF600 is in "excess of 300°C".

It's one of those products that is just using the name associated with the DOT5 SRF.

OK, I believe that the longevity battle is fought around the wet boiling point, where Castrol SRF is at a very impressive 270 C (518 F).

I don't understanding why a company like Carbotech would use the words "the absolute best brake fluid on the market, period" and ""The ultimate racing brake fluid" (see http://www.ctbrakes.com/brake-fluid.asp). Many other sources rave about them, are they all wrong for some reason?

You're usually going to need to bleed before the fluid absorbs that much water

Typically for a track application, wet boiling point need not apply; you shouldn't be on track with 3.7% water in your brake fluid.

Ok, thanks, so where would you place Castrol SRF:

ATE Superblue/R200 < RBF600 = AP Racing < RBF660 = Ferodo < Endless < Project Mu G-Four < Torque RT700

I'd put it at about where RBF600 is.

Where exactly can I find the "School Technical Inspection Information" page that this link talks about??? https://www.nasaproracing.com/hpde/preparing.html

I see and DLed the "School Technical Inspection Form" and also read the 9 linked interesting articles on the bottom of this link's page...but I can't seem to find the so-called "School Technical Inspection Information"..... is this just the CCR/Club Codes & Regulations?? I searched on google too but can't find the exact page they're talking about.

"The ‘information’ page will tell you where & how to get your car inspected. The ‘inspection’ form will tell you the minimum number of things you need to check before getting your car inspected at one of the approved tech locations."

I think they stopped having a page for it since it's different at every track/event. They send the information about the layout of the tech inspection, staging, and registration areas in an email prior to the event. This way its always accurate to the last minute.

That depends entirely on you and your setup. It's like me trying to predict your MPG

Stock suspension and no aero for now. Hopefully soon I'll have rpf1's with the R3's. I'm just having a really tough time deciding between 17x8+? or 17x9+? ... I'm going to keep the car n/a, with just bolt ons and tune in the future. Can you help me decide on wheel and tire size please. I'll be tracking in sebring and homestead if that helps... Thank you!! Also do you sell carbotech pads there?
