We should have a drive meet sometime where we end up at a shooting range. Maybe Chabot or Richmond.

Is it just me or is the summer kickoff review thread not working?

Nice! I haven't shot a gun in over 15 years though, so I'm definitely in need of a refresher course on shooting etiquette.

Ideally I'd like to shoot some sort of bolt action rifle or a shotgun at a range.

theres a outdoor place in Livermore the GF and I have been going to that allows louder things such as shotguns and rifles, we were able to shoot her AR15 as well.

I heard Chabot Club lost its lease from state due to some enviromental b.s. ...I havent been there in like 5 years. I think this happened earlier this year. I saw a mention of it on CalGuns

I don't really shoot at ranges. Sometimes I do but usually not. Don't really shoot much anymore. I just prep/have stuff on hand now for SHTF.

Waiting for rest of my AR parts to get here. Might build an AK too but 7.62 is even more expensive to shoot. Plus I still need tires....

Speaking of guns. Just ordered a 3-9x32 scope, UTG mounts, Volq auto bolt release and Volq extractor for the awaiting 10/22
Just need a trigger drop in and a Boyd thumbhole ..and I can build it before even firing it

I have a few shotguns I could bring out.
I don't own a bolt gun anymore. I had a Ruger American at one point when I was 19 but I sold it on a fire sale to pay some unexpected bills.

I think I wanna grab another big game gun soon. Maybe a Remington 700 or a Savage Model 10
I dont know if i really need a .308 bolt though..I don't hunt lol.

243 Win is a 700 yard round all day if you got a 150gr + round in it. Its a pretty hot round and fairly cheap to shoot.

I'm so sick of all these mass shootings, small shootings, suicides, and absolute refusal by a lot of politicians to do anything. Hence, I am no longer spending a cent on guns. Last time I went on Calguns, a league of morons frothed at the mouth in rage over the thought of a smart gun. Pea-brains with peashooters.

ok, lets keep the politics out of it before a mod starts putting people in timeout.

Correct, Chabot lost the ability to renew their lease but is still open (until Aug I believe?). If you guys are going to plan something, you should probably do it soon. Also, it gets very crowded on the weekends, but hey are also open on Mons & Fris.

I am unfortunately in this camp now. As much as I enjoy it, the current state of society just makes me sad and makes me not want to be any part of it. Not to be too political, but just like anything else, both sides lean too much in the extremes to cater to their own demographics. For the past couple of years, my hard earned $$$ has been going to car parts, food trucks and the Oakland Zoo instead

Do you think people with violent mental health issues, people in danger of committing suicide, people on terrorist watch lists, people with a history of domestic violence, people who have made violent threats, stalkers, and convicted criminals should be able to buy guns and keep the guns they already have?
