I have Rs3s on order and should be here next month. I also have a set of v1s in the garage with 20percent left that Im saving for mid summer. Ive ran 4 sets of rs3s before and they are my tire of choice not in cold weather of course.

I hope they only improved it.

The RS3's were a pretty good track day [road course] tire since they could take the heat. tires. At autocross the grip really depended on how much heat you could get in them.

There are some other popular forums with Tirerack people on them, and others who may get the tires ahead of time for testing, so we should have some more detailed information soon. They are going to barely make the SCCA Solo2 deadline of April 30th to be eligible for Nationals this year.

They are supposed to be a better all-around tire than the RS-3 was, but we will see if anything was sacrificed.

I just hope they don't go too far and make these things require water spraying constantly like many of the other comparable tires.

I don't have a co-driver, and I only had one event last year where I could not get the old style RS3s to work, and that was on a 50 degree day, and due to the way our region operates, the go-karts ended up running between my first and second run of the heat (TWICE) which meant I only had one run in each heat where the tires were not at ambient temp.

First car in our region on the RS-3 V2s. Seem to work better. I remember the old RS-3s hating cold and wet.

Very wet out and about 50-60F out. He took top time of day in an STU prepped STI.

If you are familiar with the National Autox drivers on this list, then you weill know its fast.

I replaced my old ZII's this week with the V2's and love everything about them so far. The on road ride quality and noise level is far better then the ZII's. I ran an autocross event today and they were superb. I missed taking top PAX time by .016 seconds which is better than I ever managed on the Dunlops. Interestingly, I had less roll over on the V2's even though the sidewalls are softer and I was running 3psi less than the ZII's. Overall I'm very pleased with the R-S3 V2's.

Thanks! Dont get too excited by road noise just yet. After about 3k miles they are nasty loud.

Have had 4 sets now they all do it.

Curious what size ZII's and what pressures you were running ...

I run 245/40R17. On the ZII's I had to run 36-37f/34r to keep from rolling the fronts. On the R-S3's I dropped the pressures down to 34f/32r and they felt great.

Yes, this will be my third set of RS-3s, and I know what I'm in for as far as noise goes. They are not even close to quiet.
