Did yall end up having the meet tonight? If so, sorry I missed it. The new plates are interesting. I think they will look better with our cars than the previous standard plates with the blue and red. It does look like a good amount of us are getting the different styled/black plates.

nope no one but me storming the street lol.

i picked up plates for my daily driver today, the new design looks better in person, the white is pearl white without the blue hue in the picture. for free, they are cleaner design compared to the old one.

had my first car wash today....already seeing scratches.. anyone know of a good place to get your car waxed or that does good buff jobs?
Also had the tint done today at SunTint in austin. They did a pretty good job. Or at least it looks good. Went with the CarbonXP came out to about $280 with tax and everything.

I have been trying to look for a good wax also. Used Meguiar's Ultimate Wax last time but it didnt seem to last very long in the Texas heat. I was thinking about this http://www.zymol.com/zymoljaponwax8oz.aspx.It seems to be formulated for Japanese cars and all the consumer reviews are very good.but at $50 a jar, it is a little hard to swallow. But then that seems almost a good deal when considering they make $30K wax http://www.nobleforums.com/showthrea...ensive-wax-yet .although they give you a lifetime of refills for free.lol

Sweet! Gonna buy that solar activated limited edition wax and then not have enough money for my FR-S!

At least the packaging and marketing is pretty catchy.

Saw you again yesterday. I guess our afternoon commutes cross paths.

I'm down in SW Austin usually off Mopac and I work in Bee Cave so I'm up and down 71 during the week and around 360 (south) sometimes. Even the few times I've wandered up north to Fry's...I still haven't ran into another FRS or BRZ. Always on the lookout though!

So I washed my car for the first time yesterday early evening and I swear, about 5 people walking/running down the street stopped to ask me what kind of car it was.

Guess I missed some notifications from this thread. Do we want to try and get together Tuesday the 28 or Thursday the 30th? Is D&B a good location, up by Mopac and 183? Or we could do the stereotypical Hooters or Twin Peaks meet haha.
@Linseal I guess we are on the same route, have you been in your FRS when you see me? I haven't seen anyone on my drive home.

I did see an Asphalt FRS on Exposition heading south yester around 6:30, was that anyone here?

Yeah I've been in my FR-S, it's my only car haha. I guess the silver just doesn't stand out as much as the WRB haha

Well.. it's been an eventful week. Picked up the BRZ Thursday afternoon. That night, after I got the family to sleep, went out for a drive. Bumped fenders with a lady who was trying to turn from the shoulder into my lane.

The damage isn't terribly noticeable to the casual observer, but it's going to require a bit of metal work and respray of the fender. At least I got the weekend with the car before handing it right over to the body shop / insurance co.

There's a chance I'll get it back by the end of the week, at least.

The last time I had a car in the shop, they had to chop the entire front end off and rebuild from the ground up. Took about 4 months. Let's hope for something better than that.

Bummer. Hope you get it back to pristine condition soon!
