Recommended Header w/ Borla Catback

Looking to add an UEL header to my ‘15 BRZ. Already have the Borla catback exhaust. Is there an obvious choice ? Considering Borla, JDL, Tomei and open flash. Sounds clips if you have this combo ? Thanks guys.

The Dr. must be grumpy today

Anyone one of them would be fine. I believe the Borla is the lightest of the bunch if that matters.

There are a ton of videos on you tube

Ouch ! Dr BRZ .......I probably watched 50 videos on those headers before posting this but I could not find videos of one of those headers with a borla catback and that is why I asked the question. I’m assuming the combination (sound wise) would be different than those headers running an OEM exhaust or different exhaust other than the borla but correct me if I’m wrong.

I suggest the dose would be to take one, while reading every 200 posts.

I have the borla catback with the jdl uel header. It has an aggressive sound but it's not too loud for daily driving and cold starts, it can get loud when the RPMs go up which makes it a lot of fun especially if your car is manual.

Bonus: if you lower the back seats it sounds even better.

If you just punch out a OEM header it will be quiter, make the same power as most aftermarket headers and save you money.

The money saved can then be spent on a good tuning solution and dyno time.

Opinions may vary
