Unless the pin was snapped off you can’t clock it wrong but you can install it backwards where the teeth no longer pass close enough to the sensor to be picked up. The image in your post shows it installed correctly though.

thats just a pic i threw in from google lol, but i see what I did wrong now. I checked my old engine and realized that it has to be snug in place and not spin around freely.
