I've been running the stage 2 UEL 93 catless header tune (older version of the tune if it matters and AT) since winter started with my catted FT86 speedfactory header. I've had some very small FLKC like -.65 but that is usually when going full throttle at low RPM in 5th or 6th gear. I also don't think I've seen my IAM ever get below .88

Take it with a grain of salt and make sure you log on your own vehicle but I haven't had any problems with it and I have my OFT setup where it is mounted and I can see it while driving.

@shiv are the ft86sf catted header tunes available on the downloads page on open flash's site? I don't see them listed but maybe they are just in the regular OTS files?

Yeah I've been running that tune too with my FT86SF catted UEL header. Had no clue they had a tune for it.

FWIW I recently switched to a FT86SF catted UEL and lost a lot of that rumble. I could hear it a lot more with my previous setup (JDL catless UEL + aftermarket OP/FP).

With my catted JDL UEL I get rumble in the lower RPMs but it smooths out in the higher RPMs sooner than a catless header from what I can tell from Youtube videos.

I'm also running the Stage 2 UEL tune with mine and I had just a couple places where I had to pull about .5 degrees of timing, but the most FLKC I see now is -.65 and my IAM stays at 1 unless I plant my foot in a high gear at low RPMs (which obviously you don't need to do)

In an earlier post somewhere on the forum Shiv said the tune for the FT86SF catted header would be the new Stage 2, and there would be a Stage 2+ for catless headers. So I would imagine it will run just as well for catted headers as the Stage 2 now currently does

Now that you mention it, I remember seeing that at some point also, the 2 vs 2+. I should probably update my tunes anyway since mine are at least a year old at this point. Maybe I'll finally get around to the cold start corrections too.......

right now OFT's site shows just the OTS tunes and OFH optimized ones. OTS tunes were last update 3/30/16

http://www.openflashtablet.com/downloads/

I emailed shiv after work today and i'll post what he says about these tunes or where to find the speedfactory ones.

He said when the V.3 OTS Tunes were released there would be a Stage 2 and Stage2+. The Stage 2 was going to be the tune he did for the FT86SF catted header, and the Stage 2+ would be for the OpenFlash Catless Header. Not sure which one someone with a catless header that isn't an OF brand would be better to use, but at least we will know that the Stage 2 was done with a catted header in mind. The V.3 Tunes haven't been released yet though

when will the v.3 tunes be released? also if stage 2+ would be for cattless OFH but everyone is using it for all cattless headers then the 2 would work for any catted header?? because i think i want to go with the JDl catted header over the FT86SF catted header. but i want to make sure the JDL catted will get as much help from the tune as the FT86SF catted will get.

It wont be stupid loud if you keep the stock front pipe with secondary cat in it. And if you want super quiet just keep the stock catback as well. else get something like invidia Q300 or similar

Catless header will be more efficient and cheaper.

im going with a catted header because i already have the mxp comp rs exhaust. its a pretty loud catback by itself and i feel once paired with a cattless uel it will be much louder. unless im mistaken on how much louder a cattless header will make it.

don't think there's a set date for the v.3 tunes so we folks will have to wait patiently...
I'm itching to get my hands on the official catted header tune to see how much better it runs than my amateur stage 1/2 frankentune

Hey all, just a quick update.

I shot Shiv and email about the catted header tune. He got back to me promptly and we worked it out to have him email me a Stg2 Catted UEL tune. I just flashed on Tuesday and so far - so good. If you really want the tune you may want to shoot Shiv an email.
