Hello to the ft86club!

Long time enthusiast and appreciator of cars that deliver an overall satisfying driving experience. To that end, it’s not likely surprising that I’m in search of an 86/FRS or BRZ.

I started my search looking for a low mileage pre-owned version with an affection for the unique hyper blue series. However, one of my local dealers has a new 50th anniversary edition that was calling my name today, but we’ll see. Also, drove a supercharged FRS over the weekend and it sold an hour after I test drove it. I’m enjoying the search and education, including all of the great posts on this site.

Thanks in advance for the input.

Thank you for the add!

Here's a late night potato pic of my new '18 PP ISM 6MT BRZ. Much more to come!

Only (visible) mods so far: smoked side markers, satin black powder coated OEM Performance Package wheels with 225/45R17 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ and no-drill magnetic front plate bracket (big thanks to @shiumai for his DiY!)

Will post more photos and mods soon...

Hi,
Just picked up my 2018 BRZ w/ PP yesterday. I've spent hours reading this forum while I was waiting for it to arrive (just 3 weeks but seemed like forever). Thanks to everyone for all the helpful information in these threads.

Took delivery of my new (2015) silver Subaru BRZ Limited almost a week ago and Love this car! Had it transported from a Florida Subaru dealership to Arizona...it was a long wait, but, worth it!

Love the looks, low ride height, handling, sharp steering/tight turn radius, interior and leather bucket seats! Activated my Sirius XM satellite radio 3 month free trial and been enjoying that. Nothing like having your favorite songs to listen to while driving around town!

I'll post up more pics this coming weekend. Lookin' forward to learning a lot from this BRZ/86/FRS club, thanks for adding me!

Welcome. I'm confused why transport across country? Didn't they have any in Arizona?

Was looking specifically for a silver 2015 BRZ Limited with low mileage & the best price. Searched online through CarMax, Carfax & Edmund's till I found this one, which was in Florida.

I'll be 36 in July, so I'm one of the older owners, but I love my car no less for that. I guess I'm a kid at heart, so maybe that's why I feel so at home in it.

At 6'7" 260lbs, I'm also one of the taller/larger drivers of the car, so feel free to read through my thread for feedback on how taller drivers handle the ride.
There are retired people driving this car. LOL Being that tall, did you remove the front seat and you just in the back? I'm 5'11" and my front seat is all the way back.

The only three cars I'd add to that list besides the BRZ, would be a NSX, a Viper and a 67 Mustang.
I would like to own a Vector W8. I remember having a giant poster of this car.

Heya guys I’ve had my 2014 BRZ limited for a few months now. Joined this forum back in 2014 being excited for the 86s...unable to afford one. Also owned a 1993 240sx SE hatchback with am SR20 swap...currently piecing together a “type x” conversion for mad jdm looks

Looks great!

Like the smoked markers and the magnetic front plate.

I’m planning to pick up a new ‘17 CWP + PP next weekend and would likely start with clear markers (imagine they’re also available) and magnetic front plate mount mods.

Thank you!

That's awesome! Yes, the clear markers will look great on CWP (that was my first color choice.)

Hey I'm new. Happy to find a "traditional" car forum thats still active. I've seen alot of these fade away in favor of Facebook groups, which I find useful but not in the same way forums like this have been. Happy to be here and learn.
