I'll add this to the list of things I should have done long ago..

The car was flawless the whole day, a little pushy, but maybe that's to be expected with my staggered setup and I never turned off the nannies. Never shifted out of 3rd too for that matter, but as a first timer it was nice not needing to worry about shifting. A couple of places I definitely could have used a downshift, and with more practice maybe a shift into 4th, but I never hit the limiter once.
Track is awesome too btw
Glad you had fun, I really like the new DDT layout. So much that I went through a FULL tank yesterday. 18L/100km average

Yeah, that's my fault. I planned on having more time to come find people, but ended up helping out coaching for a big part of the day. It was great, just too bad I couldn't chat more.

Post away, anyone that is worried about plates being shown should be taking them off. It's a public place, you're 100% fine posting pictures of whatever you took there!

The BMW club runs 5 or 6 weekends on the big track throughout the summer, all the same format, so you *could* do both if you really want.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to come say hi to you guys either! Saw your car on the track A LOT though!

Pictures! The asphalt one is me, any moving pictures of me were taken by my friend that was there in the silver 350z (on stock wheels).

Thanks for posting those!

I have to get a hold of the guy in the STi with the cam on the roof, because he got several laps with me leading him around.

You couldn't wipe the grin off my face yesterday with a brick..

Just out of curiosity, what kind of feedback and coaching was everyone getting in car? And did you guys get a chance to go for a ride in other cars? I only had one person (other than the friend I came with) tag along for a ride, but my passenger seat is ALWAYS open to anyone. I can't guarantee a perfect run, but I can guarantee a safe return

I find the single biggest help (especially on a new track) is going for a ride in someone's car who has been out already so you can see the line without having to worry about what you're doing.

I got lots of advice from the coaches in car, though by the end of the day they didn't have much coaching to do
I would have loved a ride with one of the advanced, but due to the run schedule my group was lining up at that time. I also wasn't sure about just walking up and asking.. Kept checking to see if you were at your car, but as I don't even know what you look like... though there was rarely anyone at your car when I was looking.

I spent most of my day either driving or as a passenger. I did take a couple breaks to get pictures, but you're right about the run groups... By the time I parked you were already out on the track.

i have been told over and over to be more aggressive lol....don't think i can do it
i had brian take me, but i got extra nauseous, we were following the trans am, and the fumes made me turn green
had the big, tall instructor ( i can't remember his name) ask me to go right after everyone was done, but i already felt like i was going to lose the lunch so i said no

after the ride with brian, i did realize how mellow my driving is.....i suppose next time i can try and work on being more angry hehe

It always feels more calm (to me at least) from behind the wheel than in the passenger seat. I know a few people that get carsick from the passenger seat, but are fine on their own as well.

i don't remember ever getting motion sickness so either the trans am made me sick, or i'm just getting old......or both

I only had an instructor for the first session but he was very helpful with the lines and telling me which pylons to aim for. My GF got really nauseous from the passenger seat too - maybe from the hot tire smell.
