I like quiet exhausts that don't raise attention, besides I don't think the fa20 makes a very good sound.

Yup, she was a metal sculptor so it was a basic lesson but it got me hooked. Lots of the tools in my shop are actually hand me downs.

These two!!! I am down for buying those two pieces of divinity!
And the rear looks like it retains the rear seatability...you know for stuff like my gear and people who have been cut off at their hips.

Sorry for the off topic, awesome thread. More awesome that you're potentially local unlike 99% of everything else thats done.
Are the engine and tranny mounts on sti same as frz? Also, does the rear brace inhibit putting 4 tires in the rear seat area? |

I think I've seen you on Instagram, is your name Spencer? lol.
Great work btw! Can't wait to see future updates, keep it up! P.S. I'd be interested in buying a rear brace. |

-The rear seats are completely useable, I just use that picture since you can see how it mounts. The lower bolts are the factory baby harness locations.
-If you can fit your tires in with the back seat in the up right position then this will not make a difference. -I don't want to cross any lines with the forum and not being a vendor yet but it could very well be in the works. Logistics of production is hard for one man. -The STI engine and trans mounts are not from an STI the car but from STI in Japan. -I live in the Newburyport MA area

Guess I'll have to give it a shot. I use a truck and trailer to go to the track now, also I'm building another BMW for those duties.
But I know thats an important feature for a lot of people.

As long as you don't charge an arm, a leg, and a testicle, I'd be willing to donate to your cause for some experimental parts! =P

Awesome stuff!
Your brace reminds me of the Unibrace I had in my R32. The guy who designed it was a VW enthusiast. Definitely "tightened" up the chassis and made going over speed bumps, pulling into your driveway feel a lot better. The car felt more as "one" as opposed to feeling like the rear of the car was just hanging on for the ride and lingering behind. Like your brace, it allowed full use of the car's rear seats. Install wasn't particularly easy on it but the benefits were definitely worth it. I'm not sure how he went about turning it into a brand though. Either way, cool stuff in here! |
