You also get your rocks off on the track much more often than most mere mortals do.
I am not so sure that this is the case at all. I see a steady stream of Prius, SUVs. mini vans and pick-up trucks going by on the freeway at 85+ MPH. Meanwhile, the guys in Ferraris, Lambos, Porsche and C7 Vettes are cruising in the slow lane at 70. Maybe those guys are a little more secure and have nothing to prove. Or maybe they are the Boss and do not have to hit a time clock. I don't know but my experience has been that more powerful cars does not necessarily mean the driver will drive at reckless speeds on public highways.

The exceptions to that seems to be GTR and Mustang drivers. I have seen some real idiots behind the wheels of those.

I drive 5-10 over no matter the car. Rental Kia Rio with whatever HP they have, 75-80 in a 70 zone. 300whp MR2 75-80 in a 70 zone. Boss 302, 75-80 in a 70 zone.

I don't change my speeds due to HP, just how much throttle I use to get there

You are a man of great self-control. I'm usually limited by traffic so to say I intentionally keep my speed in that range would be a lie.... I'm just usually forced to. Maybe that's a good thing.

I generally do at least 10 over except when I drive my wife's RVR. The combination of quiet, height and CVT (no shift points) means I frequently look down and find I am going 20 or 30 over. I always know exactly how fast I am in my car but others mess with my perception of speed I have to watch the speedo like a hawk.

Very true. From what I've seen, the ones driving recklessly are the ones in the POS cars that aren't designed for that stuff. Like ricers in completely worn out Honda Civics from the 80's or hicks in raised trucks. The mature drivers with nicer, more capable sports cars usually keep it under control until the situation calls for it.

Sure it's *easier* to hit triple digit speeds with 600hp car than a 100hp car but in no way does that make the driver do so.
Yeah that was the point I'm making lol.

When you have mini-vans with 300hp and your have fresh out of high-school 18 year olds can jump into a 400hp 5.0 Stang that can crack mid 12's in the 1/4 mile all day everyday people tend to use it and abuse it. Cars as a hole have just become stupidly more powerful than they where 10-20 years ago.

It really comes down to what you and most of us agree upon. The maturity of the driver

Stressful day at work, 3 am in the morning, 3+ mile arrow straight 4 lane highway with no medians for cops to sit at and a ~270hp-ish car? lol

I think you guys are just weird. A V8 is intoxicating. A CVT makes me think, "Why bother." Also, speed is not necessarily reckless. I'm more likely to cruise in the right lane in the EV or Forester than I am in the FR-S, but I'm not going to drive recklessly. Maybe. Errr...

Took some pics of the RS at the Tampa Auto Show.

Frozen White, RS2, Forged wheels with Cup tires. No moonroof. The exact spec I ordered The drivers and passenger seats are different which strike me as odd.

Perfect exterior color. But I'm not digging the all black interior. Maybe some blue inserts to match the brake calipers? As for the steering wheel, I agree with Packo'crows, it isn't very sporty....
