Yup, power isnt everything and it was the best option for me in the situation I was in. If not, LS swap is the way to go imo.

I've thought about doing this. I have a 20K FA20 that people have asked if I would sell it for $1800. I suppose these are a popular swap for Foresters or wrecked FR-S/BRZ's but I can find 3SGE Beams Swaps online for $900-$1100 complete with Motor, 6 SPD Trans, Harness + ECU, and MAF. Just by selling your FA you can basically fund the next swap. This got me thinking on seriously doing this next season....

Lol naw man. I second that. I might be in the minority but the subbieness on this chassis is the thing that kills me about the fandom/park hards...

I actually think the boxer engine is one of the worst things about the ZN6. I get the marketing hype "low CoG" and whatnot... but I'd much rather have an 8k revving, NA inline 4.

More space, more front clearance for steering angle (for us drift guys), easier to work with, etc etc.

They did some weird stuff with our engine. They have some amazing 8k+ revving boxers in the Japanese STI's. The problem is not that it is a boxer, but that it is this specific engine.

There are definitely better ones out there. Even if it was the STI's EJ207 from Jland... I'd still prefer an inline 4 honestly.

I guess it depends on what you are looking for. For me I just would like something higher revving, or at least the ability to be higher revving. They basically made this block a time bomb if you try and rev it over 8200 for any length of time.

But it is not either company's best effort, which is kind of sad.
