Fortunately, I was able to pick up the chest piece the other day. We almost made it all the way to Crota and that was with 2 other randoms I met in the Tower. On normal mode, I think you can complete this Raid with 3-4 people if you know what you are doing. Of course, maybe with these new "fixes" things have changed.

Would any of the XB1 bubbas like to do the Crota Raid this Sunday? My girlfriend is working so I'll actually have a few hours to dedicate to doing the Raid.

Why fix actual problems though when you can make "fixes" because people aren't playing the game the way they want you too? Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the game and play it just about every day but sometimes their priorities seem skewed. And I agree, I seem to get the same stuff over and over. I still don't have an IceBreaker and you're just but one of many who said they've gotten it mulitple times. I probably got Unfriendly Giant rocket launcher about 10 times now.

And I can't get VoG weapons for the life of me, ships, shaders, armors, materials, sure no problem... No guns.. Nightfalls are a bitch.

I cheesed twice, but this last run we did it the normal way to ensure we had the experience to finish the raid since we all saw the patch coming.

As for receiving duplicate items as rewards and drops, this further strengthens the argument that they should institute a trade system between players. I'd be more than willing to trade one 1 of the 3 Patience & Time snipers I have. I still don't understand why we can't do this. Isn't the point of this type of game to encourage player interaction? Oh no but if we let people trade they'll level too fast! Please Bungie....

VoG is pretty unforgiving. I probably ran it for a good 6-7 weeks in a row and only managed to get upgrade materials for my non-existent guns, shaders, and maybe a couple times an armor piece I already had.

I've only done the VoG a few times to be honest and I've gotten Found Verdict (shotgun) twice. That's it as far as weapons go. Last time I did it some random I was playing with was like, ""Hey, I just got Mythoclast again". Jeez, wish I could get that one just once. Their algorithms need to track what each individual gets to avoid duplication but I guess that's not as important as making sure someone doesn't push Atheon from a platform (despite the fact I can jump, slip or fall from the exact same platform and die "legitimately").

I 100% agree on this, there's no way rewards or anything are truly RNG. As you say way too many people get the same stuff over and over and over again.

Actually, I take that back, I've received Corrective Measure twice (void HMG), it's pretty badass. It has three perks that work great for VoG. It has extra ammo (100 round mag +200 reserve), find more ammo, and extra damage against Oracles.

I don't even know why I play sometimes, the loot drops are so f'ed for me. I mean I got some good stuff but I miss a lot of the really good guns/armor. Recently all I get from legendary engrams (if I'm even lucky enough to get them) are heavy machine guns (almost always MG whatever) or a pulse rifle and shards or energy. Totally agree on the semi-RNG as I've gotten multiple drops of the same thing way to many times like getting praedyths revenge 6 or 7 times now. But I guess I am also lucky to get 3 vex (really don't need three), 3 VOC, obsidian mind, and enough crota gear to have a lv 32(as of yesterday!). But there are many more things that I've not had that would have been great to have.

So over destiny. Even more pissed I bought the expansions. I'm sorry. But paying around 95 bucks for the game and addons with recycled content is unacceptable. I wish I waited to buy until I read more about the game. But forcing people to farm in order to get ahead is absolute bullshit. I don't enjoy doing the same things over and over again. I don't find myself playing to enjoy myself, I find myself playing in order to level up to 32 and obtain new guns.

I've done the VoG about 10 times now, normal and hard. The only thing I've managed to get are the gauntlets for the hunter.
