That was quite the ride home, stuck on Islington for an hour to 401, and then 401->400 was completely empty, by that time it was raining crazily. A friend who left 6:00PM~ said 401 off-ramps were flooded all the way up to the windows.

Also, saw a fellow Black BRZ parked at the GoodLife parking lot @Islington/Bloor KingsMill location, and white FRS on Yonge/Clark, anyone here?

All safe here in Brampton East. I'm lucky I work close to home. I wouldn't want to be in my FR-S caught in high water. I hope all you other guys are okay.

Luckily I live and work in Vaughan. No flooding here, just some heavy rainfall.

Ferrari

Yeah saw the pictures last night. Must have inherited the cash, no way a self made person would do something that stupid. Wait a second forgot about Martha Stewart, Conrad Black, Mike Tyson, Michael Jordan, Hernandez, ........ etc. I guess money doesn't by brains. Oh well, what a jack ass. Perhaps he thought he was 007.

Not really. If I was driving through there I wouldn't've had a clue the road dipped that much. You can't see the depth of the water. And the FR-S would be in the same spot if it got that deep into the water while running, I'm sure. All it would take is moving 50-60km/h and you'd have a drowned car before you could do anything about it.

You can see the sidewalk barrier barely changes height:

close call

I was downtown just before the storm hit and saw a white fr-s on the gardiner eastbound at about 5:00pm.... it was hard to tell the depth of the water on the road when it was pouring rain as visibility was diminished. I left my buddys condo at 5:30 and crossed the intersection of dan leckie and lakeshore which was about waist deep in water.... took my brz thru at an angle and had a crowd of ppl under the bridge cheering me on lol.

I'm sorry but if I see a puddle 100 ft long and taking up the whole width of the underpass, and I am in a super low sports car. You have to think maybe trying to cross is a bad idea. Hell I don't even go through puddles that cover the roads around my house.

Brave man. I left lakeshore/bathurst area at 5:30 and the water was about 8 inches high going west where the Indy barricades are. Glad I left when did. Only took me an hour to get to Sauga.
