That's really weird. Maybe you have a very long torso? I'm 6'2" and I have plenty of headroom. With a helmet on I still have around 1" of clearance.

And to the people that say there's nothing to dislike about this car, I don't get it. The heart and soul of a sports car is it's engine. I don't really know how that can be debated. And the word that best describes this engine is "adequate". Lukewarm would be another adjective.

Intoxicating, powerful, screamer, etc...are words that do not come to mind.

Good point about the seat height. I actually don't even have my seat all the way down, as I thought visibility over the hood was suffering. So I've got even more room to work with, if need be, hahaha.

might be the sitting position but the rear bar blocks 95% of vision for me. I sit straight/close to the wheel.

My Samsung Note 2 HATES the bluetooth on the stock headunit.

I have to change it to radio/bluetooth/radio/bluetooth for it to start working when I first turn the car on.

Its the only thing that makes the bluetooth audio work.

I could complain about some of the finishes, some features I would have liked, but aren't included and the lack of sound deadening, but for the price of the car that would be very unfair, whereas I think the above criticisms are fair.....don't get me wrong, I do very much I love this car For the price it is literally amazing!!!!
I would say the blind spot is irrelevant.. most cars have this especially sport coupes. Just adjust the mirrors properly and I haven't had any issues.

I hate to get technical, but the FRS/BRZ/GT86/FT86 are not sports cars. They are Grand Tourers. Per wikipedia:

"Grand tourers emphasize comfort and handling over straight-out high performance or spartan accommodations. Historically, most GTs have been front-engined with rear wheel drive, which creates more space for the cabin than mid-mounted engine layouts. Softer suspensions, greater storage, and more luxurious appointments add to their driving appeal."

Hell, even the sports car article states that:

"A sports car (sportscar or sport car) is a small, usually two seat, two door automobile designed for spirited performance and nimble handling. Sports cars may be spartan or luxurious but high maneuverability and minimum weight are requisite."

So technically, the F/B/G/86 fits this requirement, but at no point does engine become a requirement for a sports car. One of the best selling sports cars of all time was/is the MX-5 and their original engines can probably best be described as "anemic". More important than power is weight and its distribution and handling characteristics. THAT is the heart and soul of a sports or GT car. Engine is the heart and soul of a Drag Racer.

FWIW, I believe that a little more power would draw out our favorable balance and grace (maybe 200whp), but as it stands it is nothing to complain about. I see people doing far greater with less capability.

Come on now, you've got to be kidding me. It's a sports car. For serious

If this car had 200 whp from the factory I would never complain about it's power. I would probably still want to give it more but it wouldn't be a negative point of contention to me.

Fair enough. That is a legitimate concern with owners and a great deal of this forum is dedicated to correcting that imbalance. Of course, nothing is perfect, and you know how it goes:

You can have any 2 you want:

1. Price
2. Handling
3. Power

We chose 1 and 2. Mustang owners chose 1 and 3. Lotus/Porsche owners are choosing 2 and 3. For what we paid though, we are getting our money's worth IMHO .

6'3 here and I can fit in easily with a helmet... Something I couldn't do in many of the other sport cars I owned.. I even have the seat pumped up some for non-helmet driving times... Many thanks to the designers for making it fit us taller than avg folk..

Wish the numbers on the gauges were illuminated with the headlights off, I have to turn on my headlights every time I drive or I can't read the dash.

Hm... Only had it a week so this is tough... Probably no arm rest but that steering wheel is so nice it doesn't really bother me not to have a place to rest my elbow.
