😂 😂 😂 true... If I had all the money in the world to throw at it, would definitely be boosted but I don't so that's why it's not.

It's going to be a super hot rod!
Thanks!!!.

The plan is to have KAB fabricate the mounts, they'll either do the full exhaust or ill take it to a good local friend to do it, I already bought shorty headers for it. Any custom work will be done though Kab really to make the AC fit etc...

Work on my car is supposed to start next week. Ended up buying CX Racing mounts and have the shop modify them as required (if needed).

Also pretty set on getting the Motec M130 deal from Pure Automotive, based on the functionality it offers. More pics to come as it gets worked on.

Cool, why did you choose the cx mounts over the weapons grade stuff?

Im with you on that motec. I want everything to work like factory and would rather not have to change the gas pedal.

WGP stuff doesn't have any stellar reviews and only bought the engine mounts, which the CX ones are fairly simple and provide adjustability. Transmission mount will be done custom by KAB.

Additionally, any modifications need to be made for the CX mounts KAB is ready to do them.

The CX mounts do have good reviews.

Thinking about doing the same with the CX mounts. Want to try and get the car running before summer really hits and lot of events pop up. Not to mention perfect back road/track weather.

The desire to use the CAN device instead of a full standalone is the cost difference between both is somewhere around $4-$6k.

I know of someone local with 2JZ swap who used the Haltech 2500 Elite and has some of the functions working, but some others don't and some like the A/C sometimes works and sometimes don't.

In the end, any capable standalone (Haltech 2500, Motec M150/M130, AEM Infinity 8H, Emtron, etc) have the capability of controlling the stock car systems. The problem is having the money to buy one and having someone who is able to program it to control the CAN systems.
False, the haltech 2500 and aem 8h do not have the capabilities to control/communicate the frs can protocol. That's the reason for having to maintain the frs factory ecm and bcm, and if running stock cluster a different or custom crank trigger. Only the ones you listed that can are the m1x0 series and the emtron ecus.

Also... I find it weird that anyone would say their ac works sometimes and doesn't other times. If they are running dual ecu and their hvac controls only work sometimes, they fucked up some wiring they never should've touched.

Haltech is supposedly working on it/has it working. MotoEast is using it in their RB Swap.

Inclined to now go with Hooker shorty headers, they're shorties with 1-7/8" which is what I'm looking for.

Need to make a decision on the Oil pan. Only LS Oil pan with a front sump is the GTO one. The problem is I am concerned with the rear end of it, that has a protrusion that would need to sit behind the subframe. That would limit the movement I play I can have with the engine back and forward to accomodate the shifter. The CX racing pan has more room for play as the back is completely flat, but it introduces other things like needing to remotely locate the filter and cut the disptick to correct length.

Below GTO Pan.

Good friend @spitfire481 also pointed me the Sikky oil pan which seems like another solid option
